💚💪 Work It Wednesday! 💪💚

Our Spartan Project SEARCH interns are continuing to work hard as they head into the second half of their first internships! They're building confidence, mastering their job responsibilities, and challenging themselves to learn new tasks along the way! 🌟

We also spotted one of our graduates, Kyle, hard at work at Case Dining Hall! It's always exciting to see our alumni continuing to thrive in their employment journeys. Kyle even had a special visitor stop by to say hello… Sparty! 💚🤍

We love seeing both our current interns and graduates putting their skills to work and showing what Spartan success looks like!

🍂 Fall Instructor Retreat! 🍁

Last Friday, our instructor had the pleasure of attending the Fall In-Person Project SEARCH Instructor Retreat through Michigan Assoc. of Administrators of Special Education and Michigan Project SEARCH.

It was a wonderful opportunity for instructors from across the state to come together, share ideas, collaborate, problem-solve, and, of course, enjoy some laughs along the way! 💚

There is something special about bringing together a group of passionate educators who share the same mission of helping young adults with disabilities build skills, gain independence, and achieve employment success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so meaningful, productive, and fun! 🌟

💚 Collaboration, Connection, and Community! 💙

Yesterday, our instructor had the privilege of attending the first in-person Michigan Project SEARCH Statewide Meeting of the year!

It was a fantastic day filled with collaboration, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to connect with fellow Project SEARCH professionals from across the state.

Instructors, Skills Trainers, Business Liaisons, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, and other dedicated community partners came together to share ideas, problem-solve, celebrate successes, and reconnect with one another.

🌟 One of the greatest strengths of Project SEARCH is the collaboration and dedication of the people who work together to create opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

We are grateful for the knowledge, passion, and commitment everyone brings to the table. When we work together, we strengthen our programs, support one another, and ultimately create more opportunities for our interns to succeed!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success! 💚

💚💪 Resilience, Perseverance, and Showing Up!

This week's theme at Spartan Project SEARCH is all about resilience—learning how to push through challenges, stay motivated, and show up ready to work, even on the days when we might not feel like it!

Our interns are discussing the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, staying focused on job responsibilities, and not allowing outside challenges to interfere with their success at work. We are also focusing on avoiding the temptation to fall into a routine where we stop challenging ourselves to learn and grow.

Today, each intern set two personal goals to work toward during the final five weeks of their first internship rotation! 🎯 These goals will encourage them to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, and continue developing their employability skills.

🌟 Success isn't about having a perfect day every day. It's about showing up, putting in the effort, overcoming obstacles, and continuing to grow!

We can't wait to see what our interns accomplish over these next five weeks!

💪 Midweek check-in! 💚

We may only be partway through the week, but our interns are continuing to work hard! They are building confidence with the job tasks they’ve already learned while also taking on new tasks and challenges along the way.

Every day brings another opportunity to practice, grow, and become more independent in the workplace. We love seeing their hard work, determination, and willingness to learn! 🌟

Keep up the great work, interns! 👏
