What a fantastic weekend at the 2026 Michigan Academy of Physician Associates (MAPA) Fall Conference in Traverse City! 💚💛
I had the privilege of presenting “Ortho Without the Overwhelm: Practical Management of Common MSK Complaints in Primary Care.” It was a wonderful opportunity to share my clinical experience, connect with colleagues, and contribute to the continued education of our PA community. I even managed to snag a pic with some of my former classmates!
But one of the biggest highlights of the weekend was watching our Wayne State University Physician Assistant Studies students shine!
Our first year students brought incredible creativity, enthusiasm, and teamwork to this year’s conference, taking home first place in both the charity table display and MAPA commercial competitions! Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to supporting Alternatives For Girls were evident in every detail. Beyond the awards, I was especially proud of the professionalism, camaraderie, and school spirit they demonstrated throughout the weekend.
These are the moments that remind me why I love being a PA educator. Watching our students grow into confident, compassionate, and engaged future colleagues is incredibly rewarding.
A huge thank you to MAPA for another wonderful conference and to everyone who helped make this weekend such a success!
Proud to be a PA. Proud to be an educator. And always proud to be a Wayne State Warrior! 💚💛
