After 30 years of training thousands of people, I’ve learned that the best trainers don’t push you hard from day one. Instead, they start light, learn your limits, and adapt over time. The relationship grows so that I know when you’re genuinely struggling versus when you’re holding back. When you say ‘I can’t do that,’ I can tell if you’re bullsh*tting me or if you really need to ease off. The key is finding a trainer who fits your needs—training hard enough for progress, but not so hard that you risk injury. We’re not professional athletes, so we’re not chasing extreme risk. We’re aiming for success, longevity, and a routine you can sustain for years.
