El Paso Center for Diabetes El Paso Center for Diabetes plays a vital role in preventing many complications that come from diabetes. Our main goal is to help you to help yourself.

Our educators will help manage the disease through a healthier lifestyle and careful self-monitoring. The El Paso Center for Diabetes is a locally-governed non-for-profit organization that has been in existence in El Paso since 1968. Formerly known as the El Paso Diabetes Association, our doors first opened in Mrs. Estelle Goodman’s garage in November of 1968 as a means to provide support for families with children with type 1 diabetes. Today, the El Paso Center for Diabetes remains a local, independent, nonprofit organization in the El Paso Region that offers comprehensive diabetes management, prevention, and support programs. El Paso Center for Diabetes has taken on a leadership position in diabetes management in El Paso, Texas, as one of a handful of nationally accredited diabetes programs within the region. Since 2014, the Center has been accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (ADCES). Please call us at (915) 532-6280 or visit us at 3641 Mattox. Do you know someone with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabates? Do you know what your A1C or blood glucose is and why that’s important? The El Paso Center for Diabetes offers FREE A1C and blood glucose screenings, free resources, nutrition education, youth programs and more.
🎙️ Amber Banda talks with Maria Orozco, Diabetes Youth Camp Director and Nutritionist for the El Paso Center for Diabetes. November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and during this month they will be having their Step Out for Diabetes 1 Mile Walk and 5K. Join them Saturday, November 7th starting at 8am at Serve El Paso, located at 1633 Cimarron Emporium on the west side of El Paso.
