👻 Say BOO to the Flu! 💉
Flu season is here, but you can help protect yourself, your family, and our community. Stop by one of our upcoming events to receive your annual flu vaccine and other available vaccines for IHS-eligible adults and children.
Why get a flu shot every year?
Flu viruses change over time, and protection from vaccination decreases over the months. Getting an updated flu vaccine each year helps reduce your risk of getting sick and, importantly, lowers the risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and complications from the flu.
Who should get one?
The CDC recommends an annual flu vaccine for everyone 6 months of age and older, with rare exceptions. Vaccination is especially important for people at higher risk of serious complications, including:
Adults 65 and older
Young children
Pregnant individuals
People with asthma, diabetes, heart disease, or other chronic health conditions
People with weakened immune systems
Caregivers and those who live with people at higher risk
Protect yourself. Protect your family. Protect our community. Don’t let the flu sneak up on you—say BOO to the flu! 👻💉
