🐉✨ THE DRAGON STARS RETURN.
THE DRACONID METEOR SHOWER.
OCTOBER 8th–9th, 2026.
There are celestial events we witness in the night sky, and there are others where the celestial current reaches far beyond what is physically taking place above us, touching the energetic field, the consciousness of the land and our own spiritual awareness.
On October 8th, the Dragon Stars return. 🐉✨
The Draconid meteor shower is active from October 6th–10th, reaching its maximum on the evening of October 8th into the early hours of October 9th, with the meteors appearing to stream from Draco the Dragon.
Unlike many meteor showers, the Draconids belong to the evening. Draco is already high in the northern sky as darkness falls, and this year there is very little Moon interference, leaving beautifully dark conditions around the shower and look at where the radiant sits.

Fire moving through the darkness.
The ancient Dragon current moving through the field and the land beneath our feet.
Those of you who have followed my work know I have spoken many times about the Dragon current.
Here in Wales, that current is woven deeply into the land.

The Dragon current carries guardianship, sovereignty, protection, fire, ancient consciousness and the living energetic current of the land.
Those who consciously work with Dragon energy know its signature. There are places where that current rises strongly through the field, where ancient mountains, stone, sacred sites and old pathways still carry what has moved through them.
Ancient land carries memory.
Stone carries memory.
Mountains carry memory.
The land does not relinquish its energetic history simply because generations have passed across it.
The land remembers what has moved through it and beneath the Draconids, something very particular comes into convergence.
Celestial current above.
Ancient consciousness within the land.
The Dragon moving through the field.
Draco above us.
The Dragon’s Eyes within the radiant.
Fire crossing the darkness.
This is where celestial current and terrestrial current meet, the Dragon reflected above while its ancient energetic signature remains embedded within the land below.
Those who have worked with Dragon consciousness understand the difference between recognising the Dragon symbolically and recognising the current when it is present.
This is not simply correspondence.
It is resonance and perhaps there is an even deeper reason that human consciousness has always turned towards the stars.
We are not separate from what we are looking at.
The elements within our physical bodies were forged within the ancient Universe long before we took this human form.
The carbon within us.
The oxygen we breathe.
The calcium within our bones.
The iron within our blood.
Our physical existence carries elements born through ancient stellar processes, while material from asteroids and meteorites has been crossing into Earth throughout its history.
We speak spiritually of Source, cosmic consciousness and our connection to the Universe, but that connection is not something that begins outside of us.
We carry the stars within us and I believe this is one of the reasons the night sky has held such a profound place within human consciousness for thousands of years.
Something within us recognises the vastness from which we came.
Something remembers and when fire suddenly crosses that darkness, it touches something ancient within the collective consciousness but there is another current woven through that same night sky.
Spirit.
Through decades of working as a professional medium, I have witnessed how profoundly the stars sit within our collective consciousness around those who have gone home to Spirit.
Stars.
Shooting stars.
Meteors.
They have become part of an energetic language through which memory, consciousness and Spirit meet.
One woman shared that her husband had always brought her a single rose. Before he passed, he told her that whenever she saw shooting stars, she would know it was him sending her roses and later this month, the Orionids move through the October sky around her birthday, October 21st.
That is their connection.
Their energetic language was established between them and this is an important distinction within mediumship.
Recognition carries a signature.
When Spirit steps forward within my sessions, I can hear a name or an entire sentence. I can be shown a person, place or event. I can receive something physically through my body, be taken directly into a memory, or be shown something moving ahead.
I am not searching for meaning and attaching it afterwards.
Spirit brings the recognition with them.
Their consciousness enters the field carrying its own signature, and what is brought forward belongs specifically to the connection between Spirit and the person receiving it.
That does not begin or end within a mediumship session.
Consciousness is not confined by the physical body and when Spirit touches the field of someone they love, something within the physical world can become the point at which recognition and consciousness meet.
A shooting star may cross a sky witnessed by thousands.
The meteor is collective.
The recognition is not.
One person sees fire crossing the darkness.
Another has somebody in Spirit move instantly into their consciousness and they know the signature.
So when the Draconids move through the darkness on October 8th, there are several layers of consciousness moving within the same field.
The celestial current of Draco above.
The ancient Dragon current within the land.
The cosmic consciousness from which we are not separate.
Spirit moving through consciousness and the Dragon carries another signature here.
Unpredictability.
The Draconids can pass quietly, with only a handful appearing each hour, yet this same meteor shower has produced extraordinary outbursts when Earth has crossed denser trails of debris.
No major outburst is currently forecast for 2026, but the Moon leaves us with beautifully dark conditions this year.
We do not need to know how loudly the Dragon will speak before we stand beneath it.
Power within the energetic field has never depended upon spectacle.
Sometimes one streak of fire through the darkness is enough for sky, land, Spirit and consciousness to converge within a single moment.
On the evening of October 8th, Draco will be high within the northern sky.
The Dragon above.
Ancient consciousness within the land.
Spirit within the field.
Fire moving through the darkness.
And within us, the ancient elemental memory that reminds us that we have never been separate from the Universe above.
Those who know the signature of the Dragon will recognise the current.
