💙 **September is Su***de Prevention Month** 💙
At **Blue Skies Counseling PLLC**, we believe su***de prevention starts with awareness, compassion, and connection.
Suicidal thoughts do not always look the way people expect. Someone may still go to work, laugh with friends, care for their family, and appear “okay” while quietly struggling inside.
That is why awareness matters.
It matters that we check in on one another.
It matters that we listen without judgment.
It matters that we take changes in behavior, hopelessness, withdrawal, or statements about being a burden seriously.
And it matters that we are willing to have uncomfortable conversations when someone we care about may be struggling.
You do not have to have the perfect words. Sometimes a simple:
**“I’ve noticed you haven’t seemed like yourself lately. How are you really doing?”**
can open the door to a conversation someone desperately needed.
And if you are the person struggling, please remember this:
💙 You deserve to be heard.
💙 You deserve support.
💙 You are not a burden for needing help.
💙 A difficult chapter does not have to be the end of your story.
This Su***de Prevention Month, we encourage everyone to learn the signs, check on the people you love, talk openly about mental health, and remind others that asking for help is something we should never be ashamed of.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a suicidal crisis, call or text **988** to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
**At Blue Skies Counseling PLLC, we want you to know that even on the darkest days, there is still hope beyond the clouds. 💙☁️**
