Do you have the right diagnosis?

The right diagnosis can make the difference between getting the right treatment and not.

An incorrect or incomplete diagnosis can sometimes lead to undertreatment, mistreatment, or treatment that simply isn’t addressing the real issue.

But as Dr. Bergina says: “You actually may do just fine.” 🤍

If you’ve ever felt like your treatment isn’t quite adding up, it may be worth having another conversation with your mental health professional.

ADHD MYTHS VS. FACTS

There’s a lot we hear about ADHD—but not everything we hear is true.

MYTH 1: ADHD is just being easily distracted.
FACT: ADHD can affect focus, organisation, planning, and time management.

MYTH 2: People with ADHD are just lazy.
FACT: ADHD can make starting, organising, and completing tasks more difficult.

MYTH 3: Everyone with ADHD is hyperactive.
FACT: ADHD doesn’t always involve obvious hyperactivity. Symptoms can look different from person to person.

Happy ADHD Awareness Month!

This month, let’s learn more, challenge the myths, and create greater understanding for people living with ADHD.

Because ADHD is more than a stereotype—and understanding is the first step towards support.

Which ADHD myth have you heard most often?

POV: “I’m fine.”
Also me, 5 minutes later:

Sometimes we deserve an award for how well we pretend we’re okay!

But seriously, it’s okay not to be okay. You don’t always have to hide what you’re feeling.

Self-care doesn’t always have to look big.

Sometimes, it’s simply slowing down, being present, and giving yourself permission to care for you too.

Make space for yourself today.
**Be mindful. Be present. Take care of you.**

What does self-care look like for you today?

ADHD is more than “not being able to focus.”

It can affect attention, organisation, time management, motivation and task initiation—and it can look different from person to person.

Understanding ADHD starts with looking beyond the misconceptions.
Let’s replace judgement with understanding.

Can AI replace your therapist?

AI can listen.
AI can help you process your thoughts.
AI can give you journaling prompts and coping strategies.

But therapy is more than having someone or something listen.

A trained mental health professional brings clinical expertise, human connection, context, assessment and personalised care that an AI tool cannot fully replicate.

AI can be helpful.
But when you're struggling, don't let technology replace the care you may genuinely need.

Would you trust AI with your mental health? Yes or no?

Self-care isn't selfish.

Think about the oxygen mask on a plane: you’re told to secure yours first before helping someone else.

Why? Because you can’t effectively care for others when you’re running on empty.

Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of others.

Permit yourself to pause.

A gentle reminder for today: you don’t have to carry everything at once.

When your mind feels overwhelmed, pause and breathe. Bring your worries to God and allow His Word to speak louder than your fears.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” Isaiah 26:3

May His peace guard your heart and quiet your mind today.

What are you choosing to surrender to God today?
