What I see so often is a woman who is already doing a lot “right.”

She eats well. She exercises. She takes supplements.

She pays attention to ingredients.

And yet, she still doesn’t feel like herself.

The bloating is still there. Her energy is unpredictable. The weight isn’t budging like it used to. She’s reacting to foods she used to tolerate. Maybe there’s brain fog, poor sleep, or other hormone symptoms on top of it.

So she keeps tweaking her diet, thinking she just hasn’t found the right way to eat yet.

But food is only one piece of the picture.

Your gut, nutrient status, blood sugar, inflammation, stress, sleep, and how well your body metabolizes and eliminates hormones are all connected.

This is why I don’t start with another generic diet.

I look at your symptoms, your history, and functional lab data to better understand the patterns happening in your body.

Then we use that information to build a plan around what you actually need.

You don’t need another “healthy” diet. You need a plan that’s actually built for you.

My Gut Healing Deep Dive is a 6-month, 1:1 functional nutrition program for women 40+ dealing with ongoing gut and hormone symptoms.

It’s for the woman who’s done a lot already.

You’ve tried the diets. Bought the supplements. Maybe you’ve even been told your labs look “normal.”

And yet you’re still dealing with bloating, unpredictable digestion, fatigue, stubborn weight changes, brain fog, or just that nagging feeling that you don’t quite feel like yourself.

This is where we stop guessing.

We start with the gut and use functional lab testing to get more specific about what may be contributing to your symptoms. From there, I build a personalized nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement plan around you.

And I don’t hand you a plan and disappear. We work together for six months, adjusting as your body responds, because it will.

One of the things I hear from clients is that they finally feel like they’re on the right path.

If you want details about working together, DM me GUT and I’ll send them over.

I care whether it’s actually working for your body.

Because you can eat an incredibly “healthy” diet and still be bloated every night.

Still crash at 3pm.

Still struggle with cravings.

Still wonder why your digestion feels unpredictable or your body seems to be changing despite doing all the “right” things.

Instead of grading your diet, I’m paying attention to things like:

• How you feel after meals
• Your digestion and bowel patterns
• Your energy and cravings throughout the day
• Your sleep, stress, and cycle changes
• What your functional lab data shows us

There isn’t one perfect diet that works for every woman in every season of life.

The better question is whether what you’re doing is the right fit for your body right now.

If your gut has been off for a while, I wouldn’t start with another restrictive diet or a shelf full of supplements.

I’d start by making the basics more consistent.

Then, if symptoms are still hanging around, I’d get more specific.

Because what I see so often is women who already know a lot about health.

They’ve researched. They’ve tried things. They’re paying attention.

What they don’t have is information about their own body.

And that’s where your history, symptom patterns, and functional lab testing can be incredibly helpful.

There are plenty of other things I might look at too, including sleep, stress, cycle changes, movement, and what you’ve already tried.

But the goal isn’t to do more.

It’s to figure out what actually makes sense for you.

This is one of the biggest differences in how I look at health.

Bloating might seem like a gut issue.
Fatigue might feel like an energy issue.
Weight changes get blamed on hormones.
And then there’s sleep, mood, cravings, brain fog...

It can start to feel like your body has a dozen different things going wrong at once.

But I don’t automatically look at those symptoms as separate problems that each need their own fix.

I want to know what might be connecting them.

That’s why I start with the foundations, especially digestion and gut health, and then look at your symptoms, your history, your lifestyle, and functional lab data when it’s helpful.

Because sometimes the most useful next step isn’t adding another supplement or trying another diet.

It’s getting a clearer picture of what your body is actually doing.

The gut is often the through-line. So that’s where I begin.

If you’ve been trying to piece together your symptoms on your own…

Fall food might be my favorite.🍂

Pumpkin, squash, sweet potatoes, pomegranate, warming spices... this is the time of year when I start craving food that feels a little cozier.

And for me, a good meal usually checks a few boxes:

Protein.
Plenty of whole foods.
Seasonal produce.

And enough flavor that I’m actually excited to eat it.

These five are on my fall rotation right now, from a pumpkin protein smoothie for busy mornings to pomegranate glazed salmon when I want something that feels a little more special.

Want these recipes and more like it?

Stool testing isn’t where I automatically start with every client.

And I don’t run a test just because we can.

I’m looking at whether that information is actually going to help us make better decisions.

Some reasons I may consider stool testing:

✔️ Your symptoms have been going on for months or years
✔️ You’ve tried multiple approaches and keep ending up in the same place
✔️ Your symptoms don’t seem to fit neatly into one box
✔️ We need more information about your body to know where to focus

But some reasons I might wait on stool testing:

✘ Foundational nutrition and lifestyle support hasn’t been addressed yet
✘ The results wouldn’t change what I’d recommend right now
✘ You’ve already done relevant testing with another practitioner that gives us useful information to work with

The goal isn’t to run every test. It’s to run the right tests at the right time.

That’s what lab-informed care looks like in my practice.

We use your labs, symptoms, history, and how your body responds to decide what comes next, rather than following the same testing checklist for everyone.

Have you ever had functional lab testing done? What was your experience?
