We’re proud to share that LUCID, SpotitEarly’s Bio-AI Hybrid platform, has been named to TIME’s list of the Best Inventions of 2026!

LUCID combines the scent detection of trained dogs with AI to find signs of cancer in a simple breath sample. Our goal is simple: make cancer screening easier, so more people get screened and more cancers are found early.

Being recognized among this year’s 300 Best Inventions means a great deal to our whole team.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this one is for everyone who has ever skimmed past the word “density” on a mammogram report🎀

Nearly half of women have dense breast tissue. It’s common, but it can make tumors harder to see on a mammogram, and it’s linked to higher breast cancer risk.

International Dog Day 🐶
At SpotitEarly, every day is dog day.

Our canine team does something no instrument does on its own. They detect the volatile organic compounds in a breath sample that signal cancer, at concentrations well below what standard lab analysis picks up reliably.

Their noses are the biological half of LUCID, our Bio-AI Hybrid platform. AI reads their responses and turns them into a result. Neither half works without the other.

So this one goes to the dogs, and to the trainers who work with them every single day ♥️
