Our Term 2 Medical Assistants are working hard in Clinical Skills II! Yesterday, they learned about bleeding control and bandaging and put their skills to the test with hands-on practice.

They also had the chance to earn extra credit by creating a realistic makeup wound… and WOW, did they deliver!

We love seeing our future Medical Assistants get creative, step outside their comfort zones, and have fun while learning important clinical skills.

As we wrap up the month of October, we are proud to celebrate our Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in recognition of Sonography Awareness Month!

Observed annually in October, Sonography Awareness Month highlights the vital role diagnostic medical sonography plays in healthcare and recognizes the dedicated professionals who use ultrasound technology to support patient care and improve lives.

A special shout-out to all of our current Diagnostic Medical Sonographer students, externs, and graduates! Your hard work, dedication, perseverance, and passion for this profession deserve to be celebrated.

Whether you are currently learning in the classroom, gaining hands-on experience in your clinical externship, or already making a difference as a graduate, you are an important part of the sonography community.

Yesterday, Great Lakes Institute of Technology proudly hosted our annual Program Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting!

We were excited to welcome local employers and industry partners who continue to support our students, graduates, and programs. CEO Sean Kuhn shared highlights from the past year and exciting plans for the future of GLIT!

Celebrating Medical Assistant Week!

This week, we gave all our amazing Medical Assistant students and externs a special keychain as a small token of appreciation for everything they do!

From the classroom to hands-on clinical skills, our Medical Assistant students put their knowledge into practice and build confidence with every blood draw! We are so proud of their dedication, compassion, and commitment to becoming the healthcare professionals of tomorrow. The future of healthcare starts here!

All students are required to attend. Externs and graduates who are currently seeking employment are highly encouraged to attend as well.
