I’m so excited by all of the interest in The Silver Nest.

And what excites me most is that the interest confirms something I already knew from the work I’ve been doing for the past 10 years:

There is a real need for this.

So, I realized I should probably explain what The Silver Nest actually is.

The Silver Nest is a new offering I’m creating under my existing business, Inner Strength RN Health Advocates.

I’m taking the work I’ve been doing for the past decade, and everything I’ve learned along the way, and finding new, accessible ways to share it with the public.

And I’m finally giving that work a name:

The Silver Nest.

The Silver Nest is a space to explore the realities of having aging parents or aging loved ones. It’s for adult children, caregivers and carers, and for their aging loved ones, too.

And if you’re thinking, “What exactly does aging mean? Aren’t we all aging?”

Well…yes, we are!

Stick around, because we’ll talk about that too, and why I’ve chosen to use the term.

A few people have already asked me:

Is this a new business?
No. It’s an offering under the same business I’ve had for 10 years.

Is it a YouTube channel?
Not yet! Maybe someday!

So where does The Silver Nest begin?

I’m starting with affordable, small, intimate informational sessions exploring the dynamic between aging parents and loved ones and their adult children or carers.

I honestly just want to get this information out there, and I want it to be accessible to most people.

In my work, I see so many difficult situations that could have been made easier or sometimes prevented altogetherwith earlier conversations, information and planning.

Where will The Silver Nest go from there?

I have a LOT of ideas.

The funny thing is, I’ve already been doing this work for 10 years. I just never called it The Silver Nest or made a cute logo for it. 😊

I’ll continue offering my private RN advocacy, consulting and one-on-one work as I always have and I’m still available to work with you and your parents, but The Silver Nest gives me another way to share what I’ve learned with more people.

I’m excited to introduce a new offering:
The Silver Nest. 🤍

If you have aging parents, you may already be asking questions you never expected to have to answer:

How do I help my parents navigate the healthcare system?
What should we be planning for now?
How do I know what questions to ask or where to turn when something changes?

For the past 10 years, I’ve helped families navigate these very situations as an RN Patient Advocate. And now, as my own parents are navigating the healthcare system as they age, this work feels even more meaningful to me.

I created The Silver Nest to help adult children feel more informed, prepared, and confident as they support their aging parents before a crisis happens, during difficult transitions, and as needs change over time.

There is so much families can learn before they find themselves overwhelmed by a hospitalization, a new diagnosis, a change in independence, or a complicated healthcare decision.

My goal is simple: more guidance, more preparation, better communication, and less unnecessary stress for families.

I’ll be sharing educational sessions, practical resources, and new ways to work with me through The Silver Nest.
