October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to supporting local survivors, encouraging loved ones, and emphasizing the importance of early detection.

Supporting breast health is at the core of what we do at Oregon Imaging Centers, and October gives us a wonderful opportunity to share helpful resources and local events with our community.

When breast cancer is detected early in its localized stage, the five-year survival rate is ninety-nine percent.

Throughout the month, we will be sharing practical wellness tips, spotlighting community initiatives like Bras for Cause, and encouraging proactive care.

Take a moment today to check in with a friend or family member and remind the women in your life to schedule their routine screening.

Invented by Sir Godfrey Hounsfield, who later won the Nobel Prize for his work, this revolutionary scanner successfully captured an image of a suspected brain tumor, paving the way for the advanced diagnostic CT technology we rely on today.
