My first Climate fiction read, The Ministry For The Future, opens with a nightmare setting:
Almost the entire Deccan region of India crossing "wet bulb" temps of 33°C (91.4°F) resulting in a catastrophe climate scientists have feared for a while
This is no longer fiction
Wet bulb temperature is a term for a heat & humidity combo. A wet bulb temperature of 33°C, implies close to 50°C heat (122°F) and a humidity just as high
At 31-33° wet bulb temperature, the human body can no longer dry it's sweat. Humans can't last more than 2 hours in these conditions
