If you are expecting a baby or are the parent of a newborn, you might be wondering what to expect from your baby during the first year of life. Inova Well is offering a virtual class titled Baby’s First Year and Beyond – Giving Your Baby the Best Start, on September 29th , 10 AM – 1 PM. Inova Well: Cooking with Kirstie

Happy Meatless Monday! Try out this Plant Based Protein Bowl brought to you by Kirstie Pomaranski, Inova Well Healthy Lifestyles Program Manager.

Ingredients for one bowl:

½ cup cooked Quinoa
¼ cup of 1-2 cups of preferred lettuce mix
1 Carrot
1 tbs h**p hearts
2 tbs raw cashew
1 tbs avocado oil
1 hard-boiled egg (can omit if not preferred)

Steps:
1. Cook quinoa according to instructions
2. Cook 1 hard-boiled egg (time saver tip- Instant pot 5 minutes on high setting)
3. Wash and chop carrots, lettuce mix
4. Assemble and enjoy!
