“Y’all quite literally saved my life.”

Those are words we will never take for granted…

We recently received this message from a patient who attended our cardiovascular screening in Bay Minette on April 29, 2026.

After receiving his screening results and speaking with our team, he followed up with his physician, who referred him to a cardiologist. Over the next several months, he underwent additional testing that ultimately led to a heart catheterization on September 28.

What they found was alarming.

One coronary artery was 100% blocked, and another was 85% blocked. His heart function was down to just 30%.

On October 7, he underwent double bypass surgery. After 3.5 days in the ICU, including riding out a hurricane at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, he was finally able to return home on October 12.

Following surgery, he reported that his heart function had improved to 70%.

He ended his message with something that means more to our team than he could ever know:

“I am profoundly grateful to what you did for me.”

Happy Ultrasound Awareness Month!

October is Ultrasound Awareness Month 💙

At Coastal Wave Diagnostics, ultrasound isn’t just what we do. It’s the reason so many people now know something about their health that they didn’t know before.

We’ve scanned people who walked in feeling perfectly fine and walked out with information that changed what happened next. We’ve seen screenings lead to cardiology appointments, heart caths, valve surgery, open-heart surgery, and answers people may not have gotten until much later.

That’s what makes ultrasound so powerful.

In about 20 minutes, we can take a look at your heart, carotid arteries, abdominal aorta, and the circulation in your legs without radiation, needles, or invasive testing.

Most days, we hope we find absolutely nothing.

But when we do find something, we’re reminded exactly why we started Coastal Wave.

This month, we’re celebrating the technology we believe in, the sonographers behind the probe, and the opportunity ultrasound gives us to look a little deeper. 💙

📼 Back to the 90s at the Fairhope City Fair! 💿✨

We had such a great time joining the Fairhope community for this year’s 90s-themed City Fair!

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was having former Coastal Wave Diagnostics patient Nicholas Martin share his story and testimonial. Nicholas came to us for a cardiovascular screening that uncovered a serious heart condition and ultimately led to the care he needed.

Stories like his are exactly why we do what we do. Cardiovascular screening can uncover problems you may never know are there, and sometimes, that information can truly change a life.
