In honor of NICU Awareness month it's important to give yourself permission to grieve all of it 😮💨🥺🥹 Whether your baby spent several days or several months the loss of time and the heartache stays with you for years... maybe forever 💕💔 A trauma that's unique...yet shared when you meet other parents who have walked in similar shoes. The beeping monitors, Brady's, oxygen tubes, IV's, PIC lines, feeding tubes, bili lights, medications, CT's, MRI's, blood draws, tests, trials, endless pumping and the fragile little lives under 24 hour care by others 😮💨 A debt that you feel can never be repaid to all the nurses and Doctors. You hope they know how grateful each family feels...even through the sometimes frustrating exchanges when even the Doctors aren't sure what they can do or what's "wrong". An incredibly humbling experience 🥺 You made it! We made it! 78 days with my first born and 11 days with my fifth. Thank you to all who kept my babies alive 🙏💗💙🩷
