Last week we asked which jaw symptom sounds most like you. Here's a tip for each answer:
A) Sore jaw when you wake up: Check in on your jaw during the day. A relaxed resting position is lips together, teeth apart, tongue resting on the roof of your mouth.
B) Headaches around your temples: Clenching can tire out the muscles at your temples. A warm compress and short stretch breaks can help them relax.
C) Jaw clicks when you chew: Cut food into smaller bites and avoid opening extra wide for things like big sandwiches, whole apples, or gum.
D) Just here for tips: Keep your shoulders relaxed and your screen at eye level. Neck posture affects your jaw too.
If symptoms keep coming back, or come with pain, locking, or trouble opening, it may be worth an evaluation. Request a consultation at sleepandtmjtherapy.com
