SPECIAL NOTICE - Hi everyone! I wanted to make you aware of an important proposed change regarding Consumer-Directed Services. If you review the information in the attached link under “Support Brokers,” DMAS is proposing to transition Services Facilitation to a Support Broker model. If approved by CMS as proposed, our Central Virginia region is scheduled to transition on April 1, 2027. At that point, I would no longer serve as your Service Facilitation company, and Support Broker services would be provided through the Fiscal/Employer Agent (PPL or CDCN).
This is honestly very disheartening for me because it means that the individuals and families I have had the privilege of getting to know and serve will eventually transition away from me. However, until that transition occurs, I want you to know that I am still your Service Facilitator and will continue doing my job for you just as I always have—overseeing your case, completing your scheduled visits, assisting you with your services, and making sure I do everything I can to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
This is currently part of the proposed waiver changes and still requires the appropriate approval process, but I wanted you to hear about it from me and have the opportunity to review the information for yourself.
Most importantly, I want each of you to know how much I have truly appreciated the opportunity to work with you and your families. It has meant more to me than simply providing a service, and I am very grateful for the time I have been able to serve you. ❤️
