Good news for Florida members: effective January 1, 2027, Sanitas Medical Centers join Oscar's Florida networks: more convenient access to coordinated, comprehensive care close to home.

The scope: 50 locations and 130 providers across Florida, including 28 in South Florida.

Network participation varies by market:
• Orlando and Tampa: Sanitas in-network for Oscar's HMO Broad network only.
• Rest of Florida: in-network across all Oscar networks.

At Sanitas, many needs in one place: primary and family care, extended hours, same-day appointments, walk-in services, specialty care, telehealth, vaccinations, testing and other preventive services.

Your checklist before January 1:
1. Confirm your plan name and network: status depends on your market.
2. Verify your doctors' 2027 participation in the updated directory.
3. Choosing a plan this Annual Enrollment Period (through December 7)? Factor Sanitas access in.
4. Keep written confirmation of coverage answers.

If a claim or provider-lookup answer does not make sense, we help you get a clear one. Total Benefit Solutions Inc is an independent advocate at zero cost to you: we never accept no when your benefits are on the line.

Complimentary consultation: 215-355-2121 or www.totalbenefits.net.

Educational information only: network details per the announced update and can change. Confirm your plan's 2027 provider directory before making decisions.

Your doctor says you’re being discharged from the hospital today: but you or your family believe it’s too soon. What can you do?

A discharge notice is NOT a final decision. If you have Original Medicare: ask the hospital for the “Important Message from Medicare” in writing. This notice explains your right to request a fast review and provides the contact information for your Beneficiary and Family Centered Care Quality Improvement Organization: or BFCC-QIO.

Act quickly:

1. Check the notice for the exact deadline: usually no later than the date and time you’re scheduled for discharge.
2. Call the BFCC-QIO immediately to request an expedited review.
3. Ask the hospital to send the QIO your medical records.
4. Keep copies of the notice: your appeal request: names of people you speak with: and all decisions.

If you request the fast review on time: you can generally remain in the hospital while the QIO reviews the decision. Under Original Medicare: you generally won’t owe hospital charges for the services under review while the appeal is pending: except for applicable deductibles and coinsurance. If the QIO agrees you need more care: coverage can continue subject to Medicare rules. If the QIO agrees with the discharge: different charges may apply after the review period.

Never accept no when an unsafe or premature discharge is being proposed. Ask questions: get everything in writing: and use your appeal rights.

If your company sponsors a Nationwide employer group plan, your pharmacy benefits are changing January 1, 2027: administration moves from Cigna to Express Scripts Pharmacy Benefit Services (Evernorth). Pharmacy benefits only: medical and all other benefits stay the same.

The dates that matter:

• October 28, 2026: Nationwide emails affected employer groups, with an FAQ PDF.
• November 2026: Express Scripts mails disruption letters to members whose pharmacy, coverage, or costs may change.
• December 1, 2026: Members can start contacting Express Scripts with questions about pharmacy services beginning January 1.
• December 31, 2026: Last day to use your current Cigna pharmacy ID card.
• Around January 1, 2027: New ID cards with Express Scripts information arrive in the mail.

If you are an employer: watch for the email, open the FAQ, and brief your HR team now rather than in December. Share the key dates with employees early and remind them the change is limited to pharmacy benefits.

If you are a member: keep using your current card through December 31, 2026, watch your mail in November for a disruption letter, and keep refills on your normal schedule. Read any disruption letter carefully: it will contain specific next steps for your situation, because your pharmacy or costs may change differently than your coworker's. The two card dates matter: current card through December 31, new card starting January 1, 2027.

A pharmacy benefit transition should be a calendar item, not a surprise at the counter. If the transition is unclear, or a disruption letter raises questions your plan is not answering clearly, we help you get answers. Total Benefit Solutions Inc is an independent benefits advocate, and our advocacy comes at zero cost to you: we never accept no when your benefits are on the line.

Educational information only: this is not insurance or legal advice. Transition details are per Nationwide's employer communication and may change: confirm specifics with your plan administrator and review your plan's official materials.

Self-employed? 1099 contractor? Small business owner without group benefits? Big-group benefits just got closer.

Total Benefit Solutions now represents the AmeriBenefit Plan Association (ABP), a non-profit association serving small businesses, self-employed professionals, independent contractors, gig workers and entrepreneurs nationwide since 1994.

One membership opens three areas:

1. Group health plan access: five group health plans using the Aetna and PHCS PPO networks, plus Humana dental, vision and life coverage.
2. Retirement options: Solo 401(k)s and the Vestwell Elite Pooled Employer Plan, with FuturePlan as a retirement plan partner.
3. Member perks: bill negotiation, teledentistry, attorney chat, Allstate identity protection and an on-demand CPA tax hotline.

Membership is offered at several levels, with different benefits available at each level. Membership is open to eligible individuals 18 and older in all 50 states.

Two things to know up front, because radical honesty matters here:

• ABP is a membership association, NOT an insurance company. Membership is not an insurance policy. It provides ACCESS to group health plans and benefit programs: individual program terms apply.
• A network name does not tell you whether your doctor is covered. Benefits vary by membership level, eligibility and plan terms vary, and details are subject to change. Review the documents before you decide.

That is where advocacy comes in. We can walk through what the membership includes, help you identify the questions to ask, and verify which options may fit your circumstances, without ever promising a savings figure or treating a membership as a guarantee.
