How do you truly honor the diversity of the animal kingdom? By designing technology around it.

On World Animal Day, we celebrate a commitment that guides us every day: recognizing and respecting the unique characteristics of every species.

Over 40 years in veterinary imaging have taught us that different anatomies and clinical needs require dedicated solutions.

This understanding shapes the technologies we develop, from ultrasound to MRI solutions designed to support veterinarians across different species and applications.

Because advancing veterinary diagnostic imaging, it’s our way of supporting those who care for animals every day.

Happy World Animal Day to all animals, and to the veterinarians working on the front lines to protect them.

In veterinary cardiorespiratory medicine, rapidly differentiating between overlapping clinical signs is critical for improving patient outcomes.

Managing this complexity demands a multidisciplinary approach, from advanced diagnostics and emergency stabilization to specialized anesthetic protocols for high-risk patients.

We proudly support the Veterinary Heart Institute’s Master in Veterinary Cardiorespiratory Medicine.

Veterinary Clinical Case 2026

Today we share the clinical journey of Peanut, a 6-year-old Yorkie MC.
Peanut was referred for an MRI follow-up nine weeks after undergoing chemotherapy to treat a
cervical extradural mass at the C1-C2 level, which had previously caused severe spinal cord
compression and neurological impairment.

Advanced imaging played a critical role in objectively evaluating the treatment’s efficacy. The high-
resolution follow-up scans provided a clear and detailed assessment, revealing a marked 50%
reduction in tumor volume and a significant improvement in spinal cord decompression.

These precise diagnostic insights confirmed a highly favorable therapeutic response, equipping the
veterinary team with the reliable data needed to confidently monitor and guide Peanut’s ongoing
care.

Persistent abdominal effusion in a young rescue cat: a diagnostic challenge requiring a step-by-step imaging approach.

Brujo, a 4-month-old male Argentine rescue cat (Common European), presented with abdominal distension and persistent effusion.

To investigate the underlying cause, Dr. Guadalupe Ranea, DVM, Postgraduate Professor at UBA and Co-Director of VetDoppler (Buenos Aires, Argentina), performed a comprehensive ultrasound examination and an exploratory laparotomy became essential.

What did the ultrasound and surgical exploration reveal?
