Hold Your Head Up🎤🎶! Sharing good information on stress, heads & screen habits, along with a shout out to Dr. Dallies/Apple Valley Chiropractic for fantastic upper cervical care & similar tips. It IS the little things that matter most. But stay tuned, because the biggest kudos goes to team Ceresest with our recent technology boost via Network Flow! Will share my experience soon, but suffice it to say that unlike Argent's certified gold but one hit wonder record🎶, Cereset continues to help us hold our heads up 🔊🎧🧠 in the brain wellness business. My FlatRock/Hendersonville office is rocking and rolling and look forward to hearing from you!

Your head weighs 5 kg. Your phone habit makes it weigh 27 kg 📱💭
Look down at your screen and the physics stop being your friend:
0° → 5 kg through the cervical spine
15° → 12 kg, already more than double
30° → 18 kg dragging on the back of your neck
45° → 22 kg, about the weight of a toddler
60° → 27 kg, roughly six bowling balls hanging off your skull
Here's what most people miss. The number isn't the problem. The duration is.
Your neck can handle 27 kg for a moment. It cannot handle it for the six hours a day the average person now spends with their chin dropped toward a screen. That's the shift. We took a load the body was built to tolerate briefly and turned it into a posture we live in.
And the cost isn't just muscular. Sustained strain on the suboccipitals and upper traps doesn't stay local. Those muscles are dense with sensory receptors wired straight into the systems that govern balance, tension, and threat detection. Hold them under load long enough and the nervous system stops reading it as fatigue and starts reading it as danger. Braced. Guarded. Switched on. That low hum of tension you can't quite explain often starts here.
The fix isn't rigid posture. Holding yourself perfectly straight is just a different kind of load. The fix is variation. Move. Change position. Bring the screen up to your eyes instead of dropping your eyes to the screen.
Your neck isn't weak. It's just been asked to do one thing, without pause, all day.
Lift the phone, correct the posture. It is not the whole battle, but it is a real start towards helping your neck and spine as well as working to develop your awareness around how you are positioning your body for extended periods of time.
💜 Remember to get up and move, live a bit, laugh a lot, love yourself and others, life is what's happening just a couple inches above the phone screen.
