We ❤ Brad!
Brad Patterson, APRN, FNP-C
Brad Patterson is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with six years of experience as an advanced practice provider and more than two decades of experience in nursing and healthcare. He began his nursing career in 2004 and has spent his career caring for patients across a wide range of healthcare settings.
Brad's nursing experience includes working in both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Room (ER), where he developed a strong foundation in managing critically ill and acutely injured patients. He also worked in home health, providing care to patients in their homes and gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges patients and families face outside of the traditional healthcare setting.
In addition to his clinical experience, Brad has a passion for education. He served as an LPN instructor at Cossatot Community College, helping prepare the next generation of nurses for careers in healthcare. His experience as both a clinician and educator has shaped his belief that patients benefit when healthcare providers take the time to explain their conditions and involve them in decisions about their care.
One of Brad's greatest areas of professional interest is diabetes management. As someone who personally lives with type 2 diabetes, he understands firsthand the challenges that come with managing the disease. This personal experience has given him an especially strong connection with his diabetic patients and a desire to help them find practical, sustainable ways to improve their health.
Brad believes healthcare should be about more than simply treating a diagnosis. He focuses on developing relationships with his patients, listening to their concerns, educating them about their health, and working together to develop individualized treatment plans.
A lifelong resident of De Queen, Arkansas, Brad is deeply connected to the community he serves. He has been married to his wife, Laurel, for 26 years, and they have four children. Their daughter, Katelyn Patterson, and son, Matthew Patterson, both teach at De Queen High School. Their son, Nathan Patterson, is pursuing an accounting degree at the University of Central Arkansas and is expected to graduate in December 2026. Their youngest son, Landon Patterson, is a seventh-grade student at De Queen Middle School.
For Brad, caring for patients is more than a profession—it is an opportunity to serve the community he has called home throughout his life. His background in critical care, emergency medicine, home health, nursing education, and family practice gives him a broad perspective on healthcare and allows him to care for patients across many different stages of life and illness.
