Shine ✨ Supporting & inspiring adults of all abilities through our community-based Day Program & Residential Family Caregiver Services. Come shine with us!

Shine provides Day Habilitation Services and Supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which is community-based. We support the abilities and skills needed to access typical activities of community life. These include community education and volunteer activities. Our services give opportunities to create and build relationships and natural supports in the community. Our support inspires greater independence, socialization, inclusion, and personal choice. We strive to advocate for and empower each individual that we serve.

A little mountain magic in Estes Park! 🏔️☀️

Lily Lake gave us some pretty spectacular views, and the sensory park brought out our musical side! 🎶 We took our time exploring, enjoying the fresh mountain air, and making the most of a gorgeous Colorado day.

Estes Park, you sure know how to show us a good time! 💚

🍂 A beautiful day exploring Lory State Park - Colorado Parks & Wildlife! We hit the trails, climbed some rocks, soaked up the sunshine, and took in some pretty incredible views along the way.

Getting outside, staying active, exploring new places, and enjoying a little adventure together. 🥾☀️🍁

We had such a great time getting creative during a pottery class through Odd Fellows, a local nonprofit, led by the talented Faith Benefiel-Schutt. We love opportunities like this that give us a chance to learn something new, work with our hands, and see everyone’s creativity come to life.

And apparently, we have a clay wizard among us! 🧙‍♂️ Check out this phenomenal skull he created! 💀👏

A big thank you to Odd Fellows and Faith for sharing this experience with us! ❤️

✨ Happy Direct Support Professionals Week! ✨

This week, we celebrate the incredible Direct Support Professionals who are at the heart of Shine. 💛

Our DSPs do so much more than provide support. They build relationships, encourage independence, create opportunities, promote inclusion, and help make meaningful connections throughout our community.

We are incredibly grateful for the compassion, patience, energy, and heart they bring to Shine every single day. The work they do matters, and the difference they make reaches far beyond any one activity or moment.

We are proud to join the State of Colorado in recognizing September 13–19 as Direct Support Professionals Week and celebrating the amazing people who make this work possible.

To our DSPs, thank you for everything you do and for helping others shine! ✨💛

August looked a little like this. ☀️🌿

We explored new places, spent time outside, tried new things, shared plenty of laughs and made the most of those last summer days together.

From little adventures to everyday moments, it’s the people we’re with and the memories we make along the way that make it all so good. 💛

Here’s to an August well spent and whatever September brings next. ✨

Gone fishing! 🎣

We spent some time by the water casting lines, practicing our fishing skills, and patiently waiting for a bite. The fish may not have been cooperating, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying a beautiful day outside. ☀️🐟

Sometimes it’s not about the catch, it’s about the experience.

Giving back, working together, and making a difference! 🌶️💚

Our Shine members had another great day volunteering at the Food Bank for Larimer County. Opportunities like this give our members a chance to contribute to their community, build skills, work as a team, and experience the pride that comes from helping others.

We love seeing our members engaged, connected, and making a difference in the community, especially when there are this many smiles involved! ✨
