Quick poll 👇

If you could change ONE thing about your primary care experience, which would matter more?

A) More time with your provider
B) Easier access when questions come up

There’s no wrong answer—and for many people, both matter.

Direct Primary Care is designed around creating more room for relationship, communication, and proactive care.

Comment A or B below. We’d love to know what matters most to you.

Comment A for more time or B for easier access.

MYTH: A lab result in the reference range automatically means there’s nothing more to discuss.

FACT: Lab work is important, but good clinical care considers more than a number on a page.

Symptoms, health history, age, medications, lifestyle, risk factors, and changes over time can all be relevant when evaluating how someone feels.

That doesn’t mean a “normal” result automatically means you need hormone therapy, either. It means the conversation should be thoughtful and individualized.

BHRT should never be about chasing a number. When appropriate, it should be part of a broader evaluation focused on the whole person.

Have a BHRT question you’d like us to address next? Leave it in the comments.

If you’ve been looking for a new primary care provider, this is for you.

Jessica Johnson, FNP-C, is accepting new Direct Primary Care patients at Integrative Body & Mind.

DPC gives Jessica the opportunity to build an ongoing primary care relationship with her patients—with more time for conversations, questions, prevention, acute concerns, follow-up, and getting to know the person behind the chart.

For someone establishing care, that means you’re not simply booking a one-time appointment. You’re building a healthcare relationship designed to grow with you.

If you’ve been wanting a more personal primary care experience, we’d love to help you learn more.

Contact IB&M to learn about DPC membership and establishing care with Jessica.

Happy Monday! 💙

When life gets busy, our own health is often the first thing we move to the bottom of the list.

But caring for yourself supports everything else you’re trying to do—your family, your work, your relationships, and the plans you’re making for the future.

You don’t need a perfect routine. You need a realistic one.

This week, make space for one thing that supports your health, even if it’s small.

What is one thing you can make time for this week?

We want to hear from you. 👇

What health topic do you wish someone would explain in plain language?

Hormones? Lab work? DPC? Sleep? Nutrition? Preventive care? Something else entirely?

Healthcare information can feel overwhelming, and one of our goals is to make it easier to understand.

Leave your question or topic in the comments. We’ll use your answers to help shape future posts, Reels, and educational resources.

Drop a topic or question in the comments—we may feature it in an upcoming post.

October is a great time to pause and ask yourself: how am I really feeling?

As we move into the final months of the year, it can be easy to push your health goals aside and tell yourself you’ll “start fresh” in January. But your body does not have to wait for a new year to receive support.

If you have been feeling tired, stressed, foggy, not sleeping well, or simply not like yourself, now may be a good time to check in. Small steps — like improving sleep, staying hydrated, reviewing labs, addressing hormone symptoms, or scheduling a wellness visit — can make a meaningful difference before the holidays arrive.

At Integrative Body & Mind, we believe in whole-person care that looks at your symptoms, lifestyle, labs, and long-term wellness goals together.

You do not have to wait until January to take care of yourself.

Primary care can be so much more than an appointment when something goes wrong.

Direct Primary Care creates space for the conversations that help you stay proactive—wellness goals, medications, new concerns, prevention, follow-up, and the small changes in your health that may be easier to address early.

At Integrative Body & Mind, DPC is built around an ongoing relationship with your provider, with more time to talk and care that becomes more personal as your provider gets to know you.

You don’t have to wait until you’re sick to start taking care of your health.

Shorter days, busier schedules, and changing routines can absolutely affect how we feel. But persistent fatigue, brain fog, sleep changes, mood shifts, decreased libido, or changes in body composition shouldn’t automatically be written off as “just the season.”

Hormones may be one piece of the picture—but they are not the only possible explanation.

Thoughtful BHRT care starts by looking at your symptoms, health history, appropriate lab work, risk factors, and goals before deciding whether treatment is appropriate.

The goal isn’t to assume every symptom is hormonal. It’s to understand why you don’t feel like yourself and have a meaningful conversation about your options.

If something feels different, it’s worth paying attention.

Save this post if you’ve been wondering whether it’s time to ask about your hormone health.

There is no single definition of “feeling your best.”

For one person, the priority may be finding a primary care provider who has time to listen.

For another, it may be understanding persistent symptoms and whether hormones could be part of the picture.

For someone else, it may simply be becoming more proactive about prevention and long-term wellness.

At Integrative Body & Mind, we believe healthcare should begin with the individual—not a one-size-fits-all plan.

Different goals. Different needs. Personal conversations.

That’s the kind of care we want our patients to experience.

Not sure where to start? Contact our team and we’ll help direct you to the appropriate service.
