Happy autumn equinox! I hope you all had a time of balance and rest. Yesterday evening I was blessed to spend some time at the beach and watch the sunset/moonrise, and was treated to a spectacular show in a peaceful oasis surrounded by rain, lightening and thunder.

As we start to wind down this year and prepare for the next cycles, I am grateful for all of the experiences and love in my life. Thank you to everyone who has been part of it and continues to be so ❤️💙

Happy Earth Day 💚🌎🌿

Go outside and spend a minute in quiet appreciation of all the splendor and beauty this world gives to us. We ask for (and need) so much. Let’s take a moment to just say thank you ✨

Earth day.

I have had the good fortune to visit a lot of places and see a lot of different parts of this continent. It is all just a whisper in time, as fleeting as a flower and just as beautiful.

May we all find and share peace in this world, and honor our Earth mother for it is what gives us life itself.

My Surinam cherries are making a ton of fruit this year! I like them very ripe for snacking or for making chutney or salsa. Green Deane’s comments in his book about this fruit are pretty spot-on: “There are several wild plants you will either like or dislike . . . intensely. One is Surinam cherries. Your palate says, “Yes, this is food” or “No way will I ever eat this again.”” 🤣

These shrubs have been here since we moved in and it took me a few years to acquire the taste for them, but now I love them and look forward to munching on the darkest and ripest ones while out in the yard.

Have you tried them, and if so, what do you think?
