There's a lot of confusion out there about Florida's ADRD (Alzheimer's) training requirements — and we've seen it firsthand, from registry owners all the way up to conversations with AHCA and DOEA themselves.
Here's the piece most people miss: a trainer being listed on DOEA's site does NOT automatically mean the curriculum they're using is approved. Both have to be verified independently. That exact gap is what's putting nurse registries, home health agencies, and homemaker/companion providers at risk of a CZ875/ZZ875 citation right now.
We just updated our full guide to break it all down:
✅ Who's actually covered (it's broader than most people think)
✅ Why a 3-hour or 4-hour course from a different setting doesn't satisfy the in-home 2-hour requirement
✅ Exactly what needs to be on a compliant certificate — trainer approval number AND curriculum approval number
If you run a nurse registry, home health agency, or companion/homemaker service, this is worth 5 minutes before your next survey — not after.
