Welcome back to Waiver Wednesday! Today, we’re defining what it means to be a provider for the CES Waiver Program.
Once a person is moved off the CES Waiver Wait List and is eligible to receive full services, they will have the opportunity to choose their CES Waiver Provider. There are many providers throughout Arkansas and The Kistler Center is one of the options in the Fort Smith region. The Kistler Center is certified to provide services to the following counties: Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Madison, Pope, Scott, Sebastian, Washington, and Yell.
CES Waiver providers recruit, train, and hire Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who work with Persons Served to build skills and achieve goals outlined in their Person Centered Service Plan (PCSP). Services from a provider can include supportive living services, respite care, supported employment, consultation services, adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, and specialized medical supplies and community transition services. Each provider’s services may vary depending on the type of licensure they have obtained from the state.
