Why is CBG research getting more attention? 🌿🔬
CBG, or cannabigerol, is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid that has become an increasingly interesting subject in cannabinoid research. One reason is its distinct pharmacology, CBG can interact with several biological targets, including cannabinoid receptors and other signaling systems.
Researchers are investigating CBG in areas such as inflammation, neurological function, gut health, mood, and metabolic processes. Some laboratory and animal studies have produced interesting findings, which is helping scientists identify questions worth studying in humans.
But there’s an important distinction: promising preclinical research isn't the same as proven human benefits. Human studies of CBG are still relatively limited compared with C*D, and researchers are continuing to determine how CBG behaves in real-world human populations, including its safety, pharmacokinetics, effective doses, and potential effects.
That’s what makes CBG so interesting right now. The science isn't finished, it’s evolving.
The more researchers study CBG in controlled human trials, the clearer our understanding can become.
