I’ve started writing this post more times than I can count, and every time I’ve stopped because I honestly didn’t know how to put into words what I was feeling.
But after a lot of long conversations with my family, a lot of thinking, and probably even more overthinking, I’ve made the decision to close my tattoo studio in January.
And damn… even typing that doesn’t feel real.🥹😭
This place has been so much more than four walls and a place where I came to work every day. It became a huge part of my life and who I am.

I’ve spent years putting everything I had into tattooing. Long days, late nights, missed time at home, drawing when I should’ve been sleeping, celebrating the good days and pushing through the hard ones.
And I’d be lying if I said this decision didn’t hurt.

But sometimes life changes. Priorities change. And eventually you have to stop and ask yourself what’s best for you and the people you love.
For me, that means accepting that it’s time for this chapter to come to an end.
But I don’t want anyone to look at this as me walking away feeling defeated.
Because when I look back at what I built, I’m proud as hell.

I built something from nothing.
People walked through my door and trusted me with things that meant more to them than I probably ever realized. I’ve tattooed memorials for people who lost someone they loved. I’ve tattooed celebrities, celebrations, new beginnings, inside jokes, family, pets, milestones, and stories people wanted permanently carried with them.
Some of you came in as strangers and ended up becoming friends.
Some of you have been sitting in my chair for years.
Some of you trusted me enough to send your kids, parents, brothers, sisters and friends to me.
And that means more to me than I can ever put into a post.

You guys gave me the opportunity to make a living with my hands and my artwork. You trusted me enough to permanently put something I created on your body.
Think about how crazy and special that really is.

So yeah… January is going to be hard.
There will probably be a moment when I turn the lights off and lock that door for the last time where everything finally hits me.
I don’t know exactly what the next chapter looks like yet.
And maybe that’s okay.
What I do know is that I’ll always be an artist. I’ll always create. And everything I learned, everyone I met, every story I heard, every laugh we had in that chair, and every piece of artwork that walked out of my studio on someone’s skin will always be part of me.

Before I thank anyone else, though, I need to thank my family.
They’ve been the ones behind the scenes through all of this. They’ve supported me when things were good, stood beside me when things were hard, listened when I needed to vent, encouraged me when I doubted myself, and made sacrifices so I could chase something I loved.

They’ve also given up time with me that they can never get back. They dealt with the long days, late nights, weekends, phone calls, drawings, appointments, stress, and all the things that came home with me even after I left the studio.

This dream may have had my name on the door, but I never did it alone.

To my family — thank you for believing in me, for being patient with me, for sacrificing alongside me, and most importantly, for reminding me that there’s a whole lot more to life than what happens inside these four walls.

I love you all, and I couldn’t have done any of this without you.

To every single person who ever booked an appointment with me, tipped me, recommended me, shared one of my tattoos, encouraged me, checked on me, or simply walked through my door and gave me a chance!
Thank you from bottom of my heart !

Seriously.

You allowed me to live a dream for a chapter of my life, and not everybody gets to say they did that.
I’ll forever be grateful for it.

We’ve still got some time between now and January, so I’m not saying goodbye just yet. Can still schedule!
But when the time comes to turn that light off for the last time, I want to be able to look back and say:

Man… we made some pretty damn cool s**t in that little studio.

And we did. ❤️Ty🫶
