Dietitian + mom of 3 I’m here to help.

You want to raise kids who feel good about food and their bodies. I’m Dani, a pediatric dietitian, mom of three, and founder of Kid Food Explorers. If you’re tired of mealtime battles, worried about picky eating, or just trying to undo some of the food and body shame you grew up with, you’re not alone. I help parents like you raise confident, curious eaters through hands-on food exploration that’s rooted in science, built on connection, and free from pressure or guilt. At Kid Food Explorers, we believe food is life’s first teacher. When kids feel safe with food, they don’t just eat better—they grow into the kind of humans who trust their bodies, try new things, and treat others (and themselves) with compassion. Let’s grow a healthier generation, one bite-sized adventure at a time.

Before National Family Meals Month ends, here is the reminder I hope parents carry with them:

A family meal does not have to look a certain way to matter.

Research has linked eating together more often with benefits ranging from children’s fruit and vegetable intake to family connection and emotional wellbeing. But when parents hear ā€œfamily meal,ā€ they may picture a homemade dinner, matching plates, and everyone sitting happily around the table.

What matters is the opportunity to come together around food. These everyday moments of connection matter most.

What counts as a family meal in your house?

Or where can you create 15 minutes of connection around food this week? I’d love to hear from you! ā¬‡ļø

Monday morning thoughts, the struggle is reel. Always looking for the root cause of what behavior is communicating and working from there.

We’ve been evaluated, we’ve done OT and PT and play therapy which helped… but it’s been two years since we had those support services and we need more help. šŸ’œ

Anyway, just wanted to share this morning in case any others are struggling.
