I’m at the American Academy Pediatrics meeting in San Diego where I got to give some presentations and meet with some incredible members of the Section on Breastfeeding. I also was able to get a physical copy of the tongue tie guideline that I helped write with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Here’s the link if you’d like to read it for yourself. When I was just starting in breastfeeding medicine, I had so many people I looked up to that were involved with the AAP Section on Breastfeeding so when I was looking for leadership opportunities, I joined the Section. Now, this fall, I get to be Chair. It's a bit intimidating, but the people of the Section are so passionate, I think I am going to enjoy the ride.
