I feel so grateful and honored to work with clients like Christian and to witness their growth and transformation. It’s such a gift to support others in caring for themselves on a deeper level—physically, emotionally, and energetically—and to help them create meaningful changes in their health and well-being 🩷✨.

ā€œDana has the biggest heart, she is very professional and makes you feel comfortable and at peace when she is working with you. I been seeing her for about a year and i am a new person. I’m truly grateful for all the support and guidance I have received from her. She has helped me so much, not only by giving me advice on nutrition and taking better care of my body, but also by helping me understand how important it is to take care of myself emotionally. Her advice has helped me make healthier choices, feel more confident, and understand that taking care of myself is just as important as taking care of everyone else around me. I really appreciate the time, patience, and compassion she has shown me throughout this process. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone who genuinely cares and wants to help you feel better, inside and out. THANK YOU DANA FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR US!ā€

It’s been hot the last couple of days, but I’ve still been craving hearty, comforting dinners.

I made this Chickpea and Butternut Squash Stew a couple nights ago, and I’ve been eating the leftovers for lunch. I look forward to it every day because it’s that good! šŸ˜‹

Made with simple whole-food ingredients and a nourishing balance of plant-based protein, healthy fats, complex carbs, and plenty of vegetables. This one is definitely going into the fall dinner rotation. šŸ‚

Chickpea + Butternut Squash Stew Recipe

Ingredients:
• ½ cup chopped onion
• 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
• 2 cups cubed butternut squash
• 1 cup carrots, chopped
• 1 cup Yukon gold potato, cubed
• 1 cup sweet potato, cubed
• ½ cup celery, chopped
• 2 tomatoes, diced
• 1–2 Tbsp organic tomato paste
• 2 cups cooked chickpeas, or 1 can, drained and rinsed
• 1 can organic full-fat coconut milk
• 2 cups water
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp onion powder
• ½ tsp paprika
• 1 tsp mixed dried herbs (oregano, basil, thyme, etc.)
• Salt + pepper to taste
• ¼ cup chopped cilantro or green onion, optional

Directions:

1. Heat a large pan or pot with a small amount of olive oil or water. Add the onion and garlic and sautƩ for a couple of minutes until fragrant.
2. Add the tomatoes and tomato paste and cook for another minute.
3. Add the butternut squash, carrots, celery, Yukon potato, sweet potato, chickpeas, and seasonings. Stir and cook for about 5–7 minutes.
4. Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for about 15–20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
5. Stir in the coconut milk and simmer for another 5 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
6. Finish with fresh cilantro or green onions and serve with rice or bread if desired.

Simple, nourishing, comforting, and even better the next day. Give it a try and let me know how you like it ! šŸ˜‰

Food is medicine, and herbs are super medicine. 🌿

Sometimes I wish I lived off the grid with a huge garden full of medicinal herbs. That would be the dream, wouldn’t it? But living in suburbia, we can still enjoy so many of the benefits of herbs simply by keeping a collection of herbal teas on hand.

Herbal teas are one of the simplest ways to incorporate the healing properties of plants into everyday life. Different herbs can support everything from digestion, immune health, energy, and hormones to the nervous system, heart, lymphatic system, and more.

Here are some of my favorites:

🌿 Raspberry leaf — menstrual and hormonal support
🫐 Elderberry — antioxidant and immune support
šŸµ Green tea + matcha — antioxidants, energy, and focus
🌿 Peppermint — digestion, gas, and bloating
🌺 Hibiscus — antioxidant and cardiovascular support
ā¤ļø Hawthorn — heart and circulation support
🌸 Red clover — women’s health and menopausal support
🫚 Turmeric + ginger — digestion and a healthy inflammatory response
🌿 Fennel — digestion, bloating, and gas
🌼 Dandelion root — digestive and liver support
šŸ«– Immune-support blends — especially helpful during cold and flu season
🌿 Tulsi + ashwagandha — stress and nervous system support
🌱 Detox blends — digestive and elimination support
🌿 Licorice root — digestive, respiratory, and adrenal support

Keeping 5–10 herbal teas that you enjoy and rotating them is a simple way to bring more plant medicine into your everyday wellness routine.

For quality organic herbal teas, some of my favorite brands are Traditional Medicinals, Buddha Teas, Pukka, Organic India, and Numi Organic Tea. I recommend looking for organic teas with simple, clean ingredients or even using loose leaf teas. 🌿

A reminder: herbs are powerful, and natural doesn’t automatically mean appropriate for everyone. Some herbs can interact with medications or may be contraindicated with certain health conditions or during pregnancy. Always check with your healthcare provider or do your own research before adding medicinal herbs to your routine.

Life is busy, especially in the mornings. And eating well shouldn’t have to feel like another full-time job. 🌿

Between work, kids, appointments, errands, and everything else we’re juggling, preparing nutrient-dense meals every single day isn’t always realistic. I know this personally, and I hear it from so many of my clients too.

That’s why I appreciate having a simple system that makes getting high-quality, plant-based nutrition into the day so much easier.

My favorite combination is organic Power Shake + Dark Berry Protein + Super Amino 23 + Biome Medic. Together, they provide whole-food greens and superfoods, plant-based protein and essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, and support for a healthy gut microbiome.

Alpha Omega and Sleep Nightly round out the routine with plant-based omega-3s and nighttime support for rest and recovery.

What I love most is how simple it makes getting the nutrition your body needs—even on the busiest days. One or two meals taken care of, without all the planning and prep.

After years of helping people make healthier choices, I’ve learned that the best nutrition plan is one you can actually sustain. I spent years learning about whole-food, plant-based nutrition, taking tons of supplements, and making all kinds of smoothies—and all of that is amazing. But realistically, it takes a lot of time, focus, and energy.

Now I have one simple system that brings so much of it together, and the changes I’ve experienced and witnessed in others have been pretty incredible.

If you’ve been feeling like you need a boost in your physical, mental, or emotional well-being, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to share more about what this transformational system looks like. šŸ’š

In nature.
In stillness.
In connection.

Top 4 Supplements I Recommend for Nervous System Support 🌿

When your nervous system is under constant stress, you can feel it in so many ways—anxious or overwhelmed, difficulty winding down, restless sleep, tension, brain fog, poor focus, mood changes, or simply feeling like your mind is always ā€œon.ā€

Along with nourishing foods, movement, mindfulness, time in nature, breathwork, and emotional wellness practices, these are four supplements I recommend for supporting a healthier, more balanced nervous system:

🌿 Magnesium Glycinate — Pure Encapsulations
One of my favorites for calming and relaxing the nervous system. Magnesium supports healthy nerve and muscle function and can help with physical tension, restlessness, and more restful sleep. Glycinate is also a gentle, well-absorbed form.

🌿 Lemon Balm — Vimergy or Herb Pharm (alcohol-free)
A beautiful calming herb for nervous tension, anxiousness, restlessness, and those times when your mind just doesn’t want to shut off. It can also help the body relax and wind down for sleep. Traditional Medicinals Lemon Balm tea is another great option.

🌿 Ashwagandha — Gaia Herbs or Himalaya
An adaptogenic herb that helps the body better adapt to physical, mental, and emotional stress. I especially like it for supporting adrenal health, a healthy stress response, emotional balance, energy, relaxation, and sleep.

🌿 Vitamin B12 — Global Healing
An important nutrient for brain and nervous system health. B12 supports healthy nerve cells, energy, cognition, mental clarity, focus, and mood—and is especially important for those following a plant-based diet.

Supplements are there to support the nervous system, alongside the daily practices that help regulate it. Small, consistent changes can make a meaningful difference in how we feel physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Transformation Thursday! āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing the transformations clients experience. Sometimes, even the very first Foot Zone can make a noticeable difference. And with consistent follow-up sessions, along with supportive lifestyle and nutritional changes, those improvements can continue to build over time.

Gerald’s experience is a wonderful example, and I’m grateful he took the time to share his story:

ā€œI went to Dana because I heard she was the best! And the referral was from another Foot Zoning Healer… so I felt that was a good recommendation.

I have a bad case of plantar fasciitis in both feet. It is extremely painful and hard to walk. It feels like needles stabbing into your feet with every step.

I had tried to cure it through many different shoes (that’s what my doctor recommended). After spending hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on different shoes, I decided to get real help.

After the first visit I walked out feeling better than I had in 6 months. Dana also recommended some supplements and a life change in the way I eat.

I continue to see her about every 6-8 weeks and I feel great each time. Our sessions now are more ā€œmaintenanceā€ based.

Dana checks in frequently via email or text and she has been fantastic about rescheduling my appointments when I have last minute changes.

The plantar fasciitis that I lived with for 6 months prior to our first visit is pretty much gone completely. I can aggravate it if I walk barefoot too much.

I am also down over 40lbs and feel better than I have in over a decade…

I highly recommend giving Dana a call and seeing how she might be able to help you.ā€

Feeling tired, anxious, frustrated, overwhelmed, or emotionally heavy? Try this. 🩷

Throughout the day, we experience emotions like anger, frustration, sadness, fear, anxiety, grief, and overwhelm. Sometimes we can actually feel them in the body—tightness in the chest, tension in the neck and shoulders, a knot in the stomach, pressure in the head, or simply a feeling of heaviness.

After years of working with the body physically, emotionally, and energetically, I’ve learned how important it is to acknowledge what we’re feeling rather than continually pushing it aside.

In these short videos, I’m sharing a simple practice to help release some of that emotional energy.

It’s inspired by principles I use in The Emotion Code, but simplified so you don’t need a chart or muscle testing.

Slow down and tune into your body.

What am I feeling?
Where am I feeling it?
Am I ready to let some of this go?

Acknowledge the emotion, set the intention to release it, and use your hand or a magnet to sweep along the Governing Meridian as I demonstrate.

Even 5–10 minutes once or twice a day can be a beautiful way to check in with yourself. You may notice you feel lighter, calmer, clearer, more grounded, or simply more present afterward.

The simplest practices can help us reconnect with ourselves and listen to what our bodies are telling us.

Save these videos for the next time you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, and share them with someone who could use this practice too. 🩷

Our hearts have an incredible way of protecting us during times of heartbreak, grief, loss, fear, and emotional pain.

In The Emotion Code, this protective mechanism is known as a Heart-Wall—trapped emotional energies that the subconscious uses to create an energetic barrier around the heart.

At the time, that protection may serve a purpose. But sometimes we continue carrying the wall long after the experience has passed.

A Heart-Wall can affect our ability to fully give and receive love, trust, connect deeply with others, and feel emotionally open. It may also affect us physically, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually.

Heart-Wall clearing has become one of the most meaningful parts of the work I do with clients. Through The Emotion Code work, I identify the trapped emotions making up the wall and can often clear the entire Heart-Wall within the same session.

I frequently incorporate this into my Foot Zoning sessions, allowing us to work with the physical body while also addressing what may be held emotionally and energetically. This work can also be done virtually from anywhere, so you don’t need to be in my treatment room for me to identify and clear a Heart-Wall using The Emotion Code.

After a Heart-Wall is released, clients often describe feeling lighter, more open, peaceful, connected, and free. I’ve also had clients experience shifts in physical pain, tension, and discomfort as the emotions connected to the Heart-Wall are released. It can be beautiful to witness what begins to shift when something the heart has carried for years is finally let go.

Sometimes the protection that once helped us is the very thing we’re ready to release. 🩷

Over the years, my work with Foot Zoning has evolved into something much deeper—what I call Energetic Foot Zoning.

I originally trained in Foot Zonology over 13 years ago, and it has remained at the heart of my work ever since. As I continued to grow as a practitioner—expanding my training in energy healing, EFT tapping, NLP, Emotion Code, Body Code, and functional nutrition—the way I work with my clients naturally evolved too.

Today, a Foot Zone session with me is not just a Foot Zone.

As I work through the feet and the different areas of the body they correspond with, I also tune into what may be showing up physically, emotionally, and energetically. Depending on what the body is communicating, I may incorporate Emotion Code, Body Code, energy work, and intuitive guidance directly into the session.

This is Energetic Foot Zoning—a deeply personalized approach that allows us to work with the whole person rather than focusing only on a physical symptom. ✨

Each session is individualized based on what your body is presenting that day. Clients often leave feeling lighter, calmer, more grounded, deeply relaxed, and more connected to themselves.

Just this week, a 74-year-old client came in for her first session after living with hip pain for several months that had made everyday life difficult. As we worked together, we cleared layers of physical and energetic stress along with old emotions, including sadness, grief, and anger she had carried for many years.

By the end of the session, she shared that her hip pain was completely gone. She described feeling incredibly light, clear, peaceful, and renewed in body, mind, and spirit.

Experiences like this are a beautiful reminder that regardless of our age or how long we may have carried something, our bodies still have an incredible capacity to heal.

After thousands of hours working one-on-one with clients, I’ve learned that the body often tells us far more than we realize when we slow down enough to listen.
