First, I am a wife and mom of three precious children. My love for them is my "why" for everything. Professionally speaking, I am a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner, National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Amen Clinic Brain Health Specialist, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, AACC Mental Health Coach* and published author. I specialize in supporting mental health challenges, especially among the adolescent and teen population. My programs are family focused because all illness is a family affair. None of us grow sick on our own, and none of us can fully heal on our own. We need healthy relationships above all else. I work closely with mothers, as they are the cornerstone of the family. They are equipped with a unique ability to support and nurture their families in a powerful way. That is why my coaching maxim is "Heal Mom, Heal Her Family."

Many experts qualify ADHD as a developmental chronic stress response. With more and more children (and adults) receiving the diagnosis, it’s so important to understand and apply the most current research and strategies. We must be careful pathologizing adaptations to lasting stress. These responses can be influenced in many helpful ways, not just pharmaceutically.

By answering questions that pain asks, one can rediscover one’s true self. If you get rid of pain before you have answered its questions, you get rid of the self along with it.

I know that 1:1 coaching is not available to many, but that does not mean there aren’t tremendous resources available to us that have the potential to transform our lives! God has His soldiers everywhere. But God desires to partner with us. He is not some cosmic genie that, with just the right words, delivers affirmative responses to our requests! That felt blasphemous to even type, tbh.

So many debilitating ailments that are addressed by conventional medicine through a “find it, fix it”, reactive model. This is NOT working. We MUST learn the truths on how to live and then implement the necessary changes.

Psychiatric medications are nowhere near as benign as conventional prescribers portray. There are options to reduce and even titrate off of them with the right expert.

This is an inconvenient truth that, if we don’t return to, mental health statistics among young and old will persist. Secure attachment is the sturdy foundation we all need but don’t all receive. Parents hold a unique position and power to turn the tide of Attachment-driven mental health challenges. Knowledge is they key to doing better!!
