💙🎃 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING TRUNK OR TREAT FAMILIES 🎃💙
Our 6th Annual Trunk or Treat was another beautiful reminder of what community, compassion, and showing up for one another truly look like. 🧡
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to every single person and family who came out, hosted a trunk, decorated, purchased candy, passed out treats, and helped make this event special for our community. Because of YOU, we were able to create a fun, welcoming, and sensory-friendly experience where our children and families could feel included, accepted, and celebrated. 🧩💙
But we want to take a moment to recognize something especially close to our hearts: OUR VOLUNTEERS, ESPECIALLY OUR AUTISM FAMILIES. 💙
We know that behind every smiling face is a story. We know that parenting a child on the spectrum can come with challenges that others may never see. We know the exhaustion, the appointments, the therapies, the advocating, the planning, the overstimulation, and the everyday demands that can leave our cups nearly empty before the day even begins.
And yet, you still show up. 🥹💙
You show up even when you're tired. You show up even when life is overwhelming. You spend your own money buying candy, put time and energy into decorating a trunk, and give your time to make another child's experience magical. You pour into other families while carrying so much of your own.
THAT is what community looks like. THAT is what love looks like. THAT is what showing up for one another means. ❤️
Volunteers are the heart of this event. Without people willing to give their time, resources, energy, and love, we simply could not make this happen. And when our own autism families—families who understand firsthand how much it can take just to get through a day—still choose to show up for other families, that means more than words could ever express.
We created this event because we know how important it is for our children to have spaces where they can just be themselves. Where sensory needs are understood, differences are embraced, and families don't have to explain or apologize for who they are. A place where our kids can make memories, experience the joy of Halloween, and feel like they belong. 🎃🧡
And every person who volunteered helped bring that vision to life.
To every trunk host, every candy buyer, every decorator, every helping hand, and every family who gave a little of themselves to make this happen: THANK YOU for being part of our village. Please know that your time, effort, and generosity did not go unnoticed. You helped create something meaningful, and we are so grateful for you.
Seven years of bringing our community together, Seven years of creating inclusive memories, and Seven years of being reminded that when families support families, beautiful things happen. 🧩💙
We see you. We appreciate you. We are grateful for you. And we hope you know that even when your own journey feels exhausting, the love you pour into this community makes a difference.
With so much love and gratitude, THANK YOU for making our 6th Annual Trunk or Treat so special! 🧡
