Last week, UTMB Nursing had the honor of participating in the 5th Annual Early Career Nursing Symposium: Building a Professional Village, an event dedicated to fostering mentorship, networking, peer support, professional development, nurse well-being, and career growth for early-career nurses.
One of our Nursing Program Managers had the honor of serving as a panelist alongside a Nurse Resident mentee, sharing insights on the power of mentoring relationships, building professional connections, and supporting one another throughout the nursing journey.
Together, they highlighted how strong professional networks help nurses thrive and strengthen the care we provide to our patients.
We are also incredibly proud of our Fall 2025 Nurse Residency cohort for presenting their Evidence-Based Practice project, "Optimizing Neurodevelopment in Preterm Infants: The Impact of Structured Neuroprotective Developmental Care."
These talented nurse residents demonstrated exceptional professionalism, confidence, and clinical expertise while presenting their work to a large audience. Congratulations to our nurse residents for showcasing their commitment to lifelong learning, evidence-based practice, and excellence in patient care.
The future of nursing is bright, and we are honored to support the development of the next generation of nurse leaders.
