Root and Branch Nutrition Functional nutrition for moms and moms-to-be. Specializing in hormone health, fertility, pregnancy It's time for you to feel, look, and be your best self.

Creating long-lasting, vibrant health requires that we view the body holistically- not as having separate, independent parts, but as being one complex, interconnected system. Instead of covering up symptoms, we must pinpoint their true causes... instead of pruning undesirable branches, we must dig down to the roots. The human body has an innate capacity to be healthy- it simply needs the right tools. Therefore, I utilize nutrition to support your unique needs in order to create health and vitality, not treat sickness. Through in-depth evaluation and tailored nutrition, together we create a personalized plan that works best for your body, lifestyle, and goals.

Inspired by real events 😵‍💫🤦🏻‍♀️🤭

Especially the fact that ALOHA bars are a staple for me + my family.

Believe me when I say, I've tried a lot of different protein bars (and a lot of different recipes for homemade options 🙂‍↔️), and yet I come back to these every time because they're that good and the ingredients are 👌🏼.

-A pre-game to coffee while I read maybe 3 pages
-To hold me over til a full breakfast on busy mornings
-An "oh s**t, I need to eat something"
-For the kids when they don't want anything else for breakfast but they've gotta eat SOMETHING (please)
-To grab-and-go fuel on the way to the gym
-A quick nourishing snack to prevent a 3pm crash
-An answer to the "mom, do you have a snack?" when we're at the park
-A nighttime sweat treat that's actually satiating

🛍️ Oh and through this Sunday 10/25, you can save 25% on your purchase at ALOHA.com when you shop via my link: https://aloha.com/KIMPEREZ (or use code KIMPEREZ at check-out).

I highly suggest the new Chocolate Pistachio, but Almond Butter and Peanut Butter Cup are my other faves.

Gone are the days I beat myself up for relying on packaged snacks because life as a mom is so freaking busy and my blood sugar and energy are too important to stress about that anymore.

My Annual September Regroup™️ has come to a close, and it was the perfect between-the-chaos (but also, not really because mom life 🤣) reset that I needed.

I spent a lot of the month checking things off my to-do list that I'd put off over the summer, plus refilling my cup to get prepared for fall (and eventually, winter... but that's none of my business right now, la la la 🙈)

Here's a round-up of my favorite things that helped me nourish myself this month and

I'll be sharing all the links to these + any codes I have to save you $$$ in this week's newsletter!

(I do also have a whole immune support ebook that's totally free! It includes all my top tips + products for this special season...) Find the link in my bio, too, and download your copy

Depleted *and* stressed is a rough combo.

Yet it's how so many moms are living every day.

Literally pouring from empty cups.

It doesn't feel good. And it makes showing up as the moms we want to be really freaking hard.

But it's not an inevitable part of motherhood, and it's not something you can't change.

This is why I love mineral testing.

We get to see just what minerals your body is lacking...

So that we can replenish your stores and give your body the resources it needs.

We get to see how your body is coping with stress and making energy...

So that we can help your metabolism and nervous system do those things better.

We get to see what imbalances are at the root of your symptoms...

So we can help you target them directly, not just keep managing them.

This is what we do inside the Deep Dig, with the HTMA, a 1:1 virtual consult, personalized nutrition + supplement protocol, and chat support while you implement it.

I have one more spot open for October and then am booking into November.

I had the CrossFit conversation with another client today.

And before I tell you the outcome, let's play a game.

She's a 41-year-old full-time working mom of 3.

Her main symptoms are fatigue, hair thinning, constipation, and irregular cycles.

She goes to CrossFit 3-4 times a week.

And she asked me, based on my assessment, if I think she needs to stop.

What do you think I told her?

"Nope! Keep doing what you're doing in the gym."

Because it's helping her stay consistent with exercise and it helps a lot with her mental health.

Instead, we'll start by ensuring she's eating the right amounts to fuel her training and recovery + addressing some deficiencies and imbalances we found on her HTMA and bloodwork.

That's not to say I might not suggest decreasing or pausing CrossFit down the line.

But why have her stop NOW if we can start by better supporting her body to have capacity for something she loves?

Now, for other clients, I may advise a differently. I have before and will continue to.

But no matter what, I'm not here to sugarcoat things or just tell you what you want to hear.

Sometimes, I might suggest things that are hard to do, or that are at least uncomfortable... but are beneficial, if not necessary, to reach your goals.

And if too much intense exercise is blocking your healing— if your minerals are tanked, your cortisol is sky-high or totally flatlined, you have zero energy, libido, or appetite, and you're always sore or injured— changing your nutrition and supplements will only do so much.

This is a peek into the holistic and individualized approach I use in my practice— looking at ALL areas in the context of your specific symptoms, life, goals, and how you feel in your body vs. how you want to feel.

So if you want practitioner support that isn't cookie-cutter, views you as a whole person, digs deep, and takes into account the realities of motherhood, I'm your gal. I'll give you the best mix of tough love + empathy and compassion.

I'm booking October Deep Dig spots now: a 1-hour consultation + HTMA test, custom protocol, and 6 weeks of messaging support.
