First timer fun!
Lip filler recovery: expect 24-48 hours of potentially intense swelling and two weeks of tissue integration, tenderness, mild swelling, and always a potential of bruising. No working out (or raising heart rate over 140) for 48 hours. NO straw use, pursing lips, forceful kissing or fe****io for two weeks.

THE DO’s:
Use the Lissè proprietary lip balm at least 4 times a day after your procedure.

Ice the sore/tender areas 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off several times throughout the day until no longer tender.

-THE DO NOT’s: Don’t touch, press, rub or manipulate or massage the treatment area(s).

-AVOID: Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A., Vitamin E, or other essential fatty acids at least 3 days after treatment.

-AVOID: Alcohol, caffeine, niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates (you may eat fruit), spicy foods, and ci******es 24-48 hours after your treatment.

-AVOID: Vigorous exercise and sun and heat exposure for 2-3 days after treatment.

-DISCONTINUE retinol for about 2 days after treatment. It is best to wear no makeup or lipstick until the next day. Earlier use can cause infection if bacteria is introduced to the treatment area.

NOTES:
-One side may heal faster than the other side. It can be normal to see or feel bumps/lumps for about 2 weeks after treatment. This is normal. It is generally very subtle and you can feel them and not see them.
-You can expect some bruising and swelling around the areas that were injected.
-You must wait 2 weeks before any further enhancements.
-Please report any redness, blisters, or itching immediately if it occurs after treatment.
-If you get cold sores it’s important to let us know so we can prescribe a prophylactic medication before and after treatment.
