The Campo Verde High School Biomedical Science Program nspires team work, curiosity, “out of the box” thinking, and real world problem solving. Students will be exposed to careers related to science, with an emphasis on allied health care and biomedical engineering. The CVHS Biomedical Science Program implements a three tiered approach: Project based classroom instruction the is rich, varied, and

challenging, “Real World” experiences such as guest speakers, company tours, university tours, job shadowing, internships, and after school competitions, and Service Of Others through numerous community service projects designed to inspire the community and students.

Today we were able to attend the Dbacks game for being the silver award winner in the Vitalant blood drive this past year. We brought our officers and those that helped bring in the most donors. Thank you to everyone that donated this past year to save lives.

We are only 2 Biomed programs in Arizona to be recognized and this is our 4th consecutive year in a row. Thank you to all who support the program from our admin to our parents to our community members.

From the bottom of our hearts Biomed thanks each and everyone (over 100) that took the time to donate blood to a great cause and to leave Brylee so many warm wishes. Can’t wait to hear when she has had her last transfusion and completed her treatment.

Year 3 finishing up a 3 week lab and seeing their results of a pure Green Fluorescent Protein with a protein gel electrophoresis.

Year 3 continues to work on their green fluorescent protein. Today they put it through their column chromatography they made yesterday to purify it. Next up gel electrophoresis to show they have a pure product.
