At the Neuro Wellness Center, we're a "Safe Haven" where people come to move, learn, create, connect, laugh, and build friendships. 🤝 The wellness center, open since January 2012, was made possible by the philanthropy of Gilbert residents Alan Fitzgerald and his wife, Sheila, who attends as part of her management program for her Parkinson's. The goal is for the Neuro Wellness Center to set the bar for effective long-term treatment for individuals with Parkinson’s disease.”

We are officially adding an Adaptive Putting Tournament alongside our 2nd Annual Hole in One for Parkinson’s Golf Tournament!

This tournament is all about making golf more inclusive, accessible, and FUN for everyone in our community.

🏌️ All diagnoses & abilities are welcome!
⛳ No golf experience needed!
💙 Just come ready to have some fun!

Whether you're playing in the full golf tournament or joining us on the putting green, there is now an opportunity for everyone to be part of the day!

Happy Hump Day, Everyone! 🐪

Here is our October calendar and Coffee Talk topics for the month!

Starting on the last day of each month, we’ll be sharing our upcoming calendar and Coffee Talk topics to help everyone stay informed about what’s happening at the center.

As always, if you have any questions about anything in the Coffee Talks or calendar, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

🏌️ And don’t forget—our 2nd Annual Hole in One for Parkinson’s Golf Tournament is just over a month away!

Golf spots are still available, but you DO NOT have to play golf to attend and support the event!

We’ll have several activities and events throughout the day for our non-golfing guests to stay engaged, socialize, and enjoy the tournament atmosphere—including a College Gameday Watch Party and more activities to come! 🏈

We have general admission options for our non-golfers:

☀️ $15 – Morning Admission (includes breakfast)
🌤️ $15 – Afternoon Admission (includes lunch)
🌞 $30 – All-Day Admission (includes breakfast & lunch)

We would love your help spreading the word and encouraging fellow community members, friends, and families to come out and be part of the day!

This event is about so much more than golf—it’s about community, connection, support, and raising awareness for the incredible Parkinson’s and movement disorder community we are proud to serve. 💙

Good morning everyone & Happy Monday!

For all of those that will be coming to the center today and tomorrow, the main entrance in front of the elevator will be closed off due to repaving of the entryway. We have parking that is reserved for our members when you enter from Gilbert Road on Cullumber Street. Please park there and use the entrance closest to Gilbert Road. Thank you!

This morning's Coffee Talk was a Staff Spotlight presented by Kelli C. She shared her personal story through many wonderful photos spreading from her childhood through the present day. We enjoyed hearing about her family (including sharing so many wonderful memories with her cousins), her dancing from early youth through high school, her marriage to her husband Fidel, and her evolving educational interest starting in exercise and physical science to her current focus on Occupational Therapy.

BNW CoffeeTalk Member Spotlight - Pam L-G, 8-21-2026

Friday's member spotlight was presented by Pam, who shared her life story through an enlightening and informative way using a mixture of photos, storytelling (especially examples of how education has been so important to her personally and to her family), movie references and treasured books (passed around), and a gallery of posters that reinforced her talk and allowed us to dive deeper into specific aspects of her life's story all while weaving it together like a tapestry using the alphabet (i.e., ABC's) primer theme as only a lifelong educator could do. We learned so much about her journey and values through her presentation.

This past Friday at Coffee Talk, the Chime Time BNW Tone Chime Choir under the direction of Music Therapy Director Piper Laird and the capable guidance of the music therapy interns Kasey, Patty and Arella gave a concert of music selections. This past Friday at Coffee Talk, the Voices In Bloom Choir under the direction of Music Therapy Director Piper Laird and the capable guidance of the music therapy interns Zoey, Mary, Kasey and Patty gave a concert of music selections from the late 60’s and early 70’s.
