Access to Cancer Care Matters Everywhere.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and today we're wearing pink to recognize those who have faced breast cancer, honor those we've lost, and support the families and healthcare professionals walking alongside them. 💗
In Wyoming, accessing cancer care can come with additional challenges.
For some patients, appointments, treatments, and follow-up care mean traveling long distances away from home.
And when you're already facing a cancer diagnosis, those miles matter.
That's why having access to quality cancer care closer to home is so important.
At WHRN, we're working to strengthen Wyoming's healthcare workforce, including recruiting Hematology/Oncology specialists who play an essential role in caring for patients across our state.
Because recruiting a healthcare professional isn't just about filling a vacancy.
It's about helping someone receive treatment closer to family.
It's about reducing the burden of travel.
And it's about strengthening the communities we call home.
To the patients, survivors, families, caregivers, and oncology teams across Wyoming — we're thinking of you today. 💗
Strong communities deserve strong healthcare.
