☮️ Circle of Peace: Halloween Day 🍂

Leave the ghouls and goblins at the door. Join a small gathering of shared space, multiple perspectives, and warmth.

This Saturday, October 31, at 2:30pm, we’ll gather in a calm and unhurried space where every voice has room, including the quiet ones. There’s no hierarchy and no pressure. We’ll just be people holding space for one another and finding what connects us.

Come as you are (costumes optional 👻) before the trick-or-treat bustle begins.

✨ Spots are limited. Reserve yours here: https://thenimblealchemist.com/community-wellness-events-in-ct/circle-of-peace-monthly-2026/

Reduce the indecision, enjoy the zen. 🧘🌱✨

Sometimes, restoration takes more than one modality. And if you're like me, choosing between one can cause some indecision.

With The Alche-mix Experience™, release the indecision. 😉 Choose my standard set or curate your own à la carte, with 2 or 3 to blend into one session.

When’s the last time you’ve felt stuck?

It’s been quite the experience unpacking my limiting beliefs, catching my racing thoughts, and navigating intuition and illusions. But gratitude will always be my unlocking 🔐

Once origins are discovered, you can more freely pursue your dreams and goals.

And remember, pursuing your dreams isn’t a one-and-done process. It requires consistent realignment and adjustment. Recalibrate as new information arrives, and honor your inner compass regardless of outside pressures.

Feeling called to try something new, to refuel with gratitude, or to find a place just to be? Walk with me on a journey together in a 1:1 session or join a small gathering the upcoming Circle of Peace.

The art of tending stillness: Zen gardens 🪨🌿

In Japan, a Zen garden isn't simply landscaping. Known as karesansui, or "dry landscape" gardens, they flourished in Zen Buddhist temples in medieval Japan, and creating and caring for them is a respected craft that gardeners study and refine for years.

Every element is intentional. Large stones are carefully placed to evoke mountains or islands, and the gravel is raked into lines that suggest flowing water. For the monks who tend them, raking and keeping the garden free of debris is itself a meditation: a clean space for a clean mind.

A mini Zen garden brings that practice to your desk or home. Slowly drawing lines in the sand gives your hands something to do while your mind settles. Lately, I've been raking new patterns in mine each day and using tiny pliers to pick out bits of fallen moss. Even tidying has become part of the practice.

As New England days grow shorter and colder, and our outdoor walks become fewer, it's a lovely way to keep a moment of calm within reach.

Join me this Friday, Oct 16, at Fuller Yoga in Glastonbury for a sound meditation followed by a guided workshop to craft your own Zen garden.

Rest, create, and take a little calm home with you. 🪷

On October 16, join me at Fuller Yoga in Glastonbury for an evening that begins with a sound meditation journey, where music, nature sounds, and voice invite your body and mind to settle.

Then we’ll move into a guided, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn about and craft your own Japanese zen garden. It’s a small, meaningful piece of peace for your desk or home that reminds you to pause long after the evening ends.

This one is close to my heart. My love for Japanese culture runs deep (I minored in Japanese in college and did a summer study abroad there!), and it’s a joy to share a practice rooted in simplicity and presence.

🌿 Sound meditation to quiet mental noise
🌿 A guided zen garden workshop
🌿 Connection with a kind, like-minded community

No experience needed. Beginners are warmly welcome. Light refreshments provided.

Stillness doesn’t have to be silent. 🍃

Many of us assume meditation means sitting perfectly still with an empty mind, and then feel like we’ve “failed” when our thoughts won’t quiet down. But there are various styles and traditions of meditation. And I will share an even gentler doorway.

Cue: The sound meditation journey, which lives somewhere between a concert and a meditation. You get comfortable, and singing bowls, chimes, nature sounds, and voice guide you into rest. You don’t have to do anything but listen.

Some people leave deeply relaxed. Some feel lighter or clearer. Some drift off to sleep (that’s allowed!). There’s no wrong way to experience it.

Stay tuned this week, I’ll share a special way to experience sound meditation paired with a centuries-old Japanese practice of calm and intention. Stay tuned. 🎶.

How do you embrace stillness in your life?

Nature continues to be my favorite place to be in for reflection 🪞🍃

We can learn a lot from the elements, especially the reflective nature of water, an element that I hold near and dear to myself.

With water, the reflective nature allows one to see the original blueprints’ qualities mirrored in a new way. The mirror is never the same as the true thing, but when the water is still, you can see more clearly. When the water is turbulent, everything gets distorted.

The same understanding of this reflective nature can be used for oneself as we think about the moments in which we thrive, can best understand, and connect. In times of stillness and peace, the pictures become less distorted. In times of turbulence, turmoil, or heightened emotions, the reflecting picture becomes distorted.

This is one reason I tend to go out into nature for many of my meditative and reflective practices. However, nature is never completely still. It’s more still. Though never completely silent. It’s quieter than the noise of the cars on the busy street or the people in a bustling city. These are all environments with their own perks and energies that support each of us in different ways. Yet it’s in the quietest moments that our focus sharpens. Our reflections (yas pun 😉) become clearer, and we can see best.

These are the experiences and moments I curate in 1:1 experiences, as well as my sound meditation journeys. Recreating or mimicking some of nature’s elements to assist with reflection, relaxation, and release.

September, the month of CLOSURE, REFLECTION, HARVEST, and HUMANITARIANISM.
