Designed for both EMTs and Paramedics, this comprehensive, hands-on course focuses on strengthening patient assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making in the prehospital environment.

🚑 What’s one thing every new EMT should understand?

In emergency medical services, clinical skills and medical knowledge are essential. But there’s something just as important: compassion.

We asked Mike Bird, BLS CQI Officer and EMT-B Field Training Officer at Beauport Ambulance Service, to share one piece of advice for those beginning their careers in EMS.

His message is a powerful reminder that while we may not remember every patient we care for, the people we help will often remember us.

At the Beauport Ambulance Training Center, we believe becoming a great EMT means learning not only how to provide excellent patient care, but how to treat every patient with dignity, empathy, and respect.

Because behind every emergency is a person who deserves our very best.

🎉 100% PASS RATE! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to announce that our Spring/Summer 2026 EMT class achieved a 100% pass rate on their Massachusetts State Practical Exams this past weekend!

Congratulations to every member of the class on reaching this major milestone. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the program have paid off, and each student is now one step closer to becoming a certified EMT.

Next up: the NREMT written exam! We have the utmost confidence in this group and can’t wait to see where their EMS careers take them.

The Summer 2026 EMT class is progressing through their lessons and got some hands-on training in Airway Management last week!

Students learned how and when to apply Oropharyngeal and Nasopharyngeal airways, Bag-Valve Masks, and CPAP Masks. Students also learned the basics of assisting ALS with advanced airway management including bagging an intubated patient, setting up equipment for the paramedic, and when to call for ALS.

NEW EMT CLASS IS UNDERWAY

We are now two weeks into our Summer 2026 EMT program and our students have hit the ground running! This past weekend, students got some practical experience in lifting and movements through our lifts, loads, and carries class.

This practical class provides our students with valuable physical skills required to perform their duties as EMTs. Students were taught the basics of stretcher operations, stair chair operations, proper lifting techniques, and working together with a partner to extricate a patient from a residence.

Please join us in welcoming and congratulating the Summer 2026 EMT class as they begin their journey toward testing and certification as the next generation of EMTs!
