✨To the woman who has spent her entire life being the strong one…❤️✨
The one who learned to be independent before she ever felt safe enough to depend on someone.
The one who became hyperaware of everyone else’s emotions while learning to disconnect from her own.
The one who was praised for being mature, resilient, understanding, and capable, but rarely asked what she needed.
You weren’t born needing to carry everything. You learned to because, somewhere along the way, you felt like you had to.
Sometimes, childhood trauma doesn’t look like chaos on the outside.
Sometimes, it looks like the little girl who never caused problems. Who cried alone. Who learned to read the room, minimize her needs, and make herself easy to love.
And eventually, that little girl becomes a woman who can hold space for everyone but struggles to let anyone hold space for her.
A woman who confuses being needed with being valued.
Who feels responsible for other people’s emotional experiences.
Who has become so accustomed to surviving that she doesn’t recognize how much of herself she’s had to abandon along the way.
But, here’s what healing teaches us:
You can be strong and still need support.
You can be independent and still desire connection.
You can be compassionate without carrying everyone else’s pain.
You can set boundaries without being unkind.
And, you can be deeply loved without having to earn it through what you provide.
Healing isn’t about becoming a different person. It’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that learned they weren’t allowed to have needs.
Because, the little girl who became everything for everyone deserves to experience something different.
She deserves to know what it feels like to be cared for, too.
And maybe, for the first time, you get to become the safe place for yourself that you spent your entire life trying to be for everyone else. 🤗
