Sometimes understanding why we feel something isn’t enough to change it.
Have you ever noticed yourself repeating the same patterns, experiencing the same fears, or reacting to situations in ways you don’t fully understand?
Maybe you’ve spent years trying to figure out why you feel anxious, why certain things trigger you, or why you keep finding yourself in similar situations.
You can become incredibly self-aware and still struggle to change those patterns.
I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on how much of what we carry can exist beneath our conscious awareness.
Sometimes we become so focused on understanding our emotions that we forget to simply allow ourselves to feel them.
And I believe there’s something powerful about creating a safe, peaceful space where we don’t have to analyze, explain, or fix anything.
We can simply be.
This is one of the reasons I’ve always loved Reiki.
As a Reiki practitioner, I’ve witnessed how meaningful it can be for someone to slow down, become present with themselves, and experience a sense of peace.
Sometimes emotions surface during a session. Sometimes there’s a sense of release. And sometimes it’s simply an opportunity to rest.
I believe healing can involve many different approaches, and there’s room for traditional therapy, emotional awareness, spiritual practices, and complementary experiences like Reiki.
Because sometimes the next step isn’t understanding ourselves more. It’s learning how to feel safe enough to experience what we’re feeling.
