Those little fireflies set the mood for this entire half sleeve. ✨

They were already healed when we decided to add the flowers, and every session since has meant working around their light—keeping that glow falling across the petals as the design came together.

This final session brought in all the green leaves. With the flowers healed, I could see exactly how to carry that reflected light into the foliage, balancing the different greens while preserving the shadows that give those fireflies their glow.

That was the part I really wanted to get right, and I’m so proud of how it came together. The variety in the leaves adds so much depth around the flowers, and that little world we’ve been building on my client looks exactly how I hoped it would.

There’s always room for a little refinement once everything heals, but reaching this point feels pretty wonderful. šŸ’š

This is where the dragon he always envisioned really starts to come through. ā„ļøšŸ‰

This round, we started bringing those icy blues into the scales, and I love how much more powerful his presence feels as the color builds across his back. This is where the cover-up really starts to shine, with the old, faded tribal dragon giving way to the one he wanted all along.

The ice breath from our previous session has healed beautifully. Seeing those exploding ice crystals and swirling frozen v***r settled into the skin makes me even more excited about the cold palette we’re carrying through the rest of the dragon.

We still have the belly and cloud work ahead of us, but watching this transformation come together, session by session, has been so rewarding. He’s becoming everything we hoped he would be.

Just a little bigger than freckles, with a whole lot of love behind them. 🐾

Each tiny paw print represents a precious life that has left its own little impression on her heart. A reminder of the love we carry for the animals who become so much a part of our lives.

I love how something so simple can hold so much meaning. It was an honor to give those little footprints a place on her skin, too. šŸ¤

The walk ends, but what you carry home stays with you.

This fine line tattoo honors my client’s pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago, a network of routes leading to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, where pilgrims have traveled for centuries to honor St. James.

The scallop shell has long been a symbol of that journey. Its lines meet at one point, much like the many paths leading to Santiago. Paired with the Cross of St. James, it carries a connection to faith and the devotion behind each step.

For many, the Camino offers space to reflect, reconnect with their faith, or discover a sense of peace in the company of people who began as strangers. A shell brought home at the end can hold the blessing of having made that journey—and everything it came to mean.

It is an honor to give this memory a permanent place with my client. A quiet reminder of a path walked, and something they’ll always carry.

Have a meaningful journey you’d like to commemorate? Send me a DM or visit the booking link in my bio. I’d love to hear your story.

She had already started planning around the tattoo she thought she had to keep.

When she contacted me about a nape design, she was considering an asymmetrical layout to avoid an existing tattoo behind her ear. She’d been told it couldn’t be covered—that trying would only leave her with a blob.

I wanted to take a closer look before accepting that as her only answer.

I asked if she would trust me to work that existing ink into a different shape, giving us room to create the balance she originally wanted. This is our first session toward that change, reshaping the dark areas and incorporating the old tattoo into the new design.

There’s still work ahead. Cover-ups often take multiple sessions, and seeing how everything heals helps guide where we need more saturation and refinement.

If you’ve been told your tattoo can’t be changed, please don’t feel discouraged about seeking another opinion. Every artist brings different experience and a different approach. No one artist has every answer, myself included.

You deserve to understand your options and find someone whose approach you feel comfortable trusting. Thank you to my client for giving me that trust. šŸ–¤

An elbow, two very different paintings, and one stray Sasquatch. Finding a dragon’s place in all of that took a little imagination. šŸ‰

After plenty of brainstorming and consultations, we landed on a sleeping dragon with the feel of an illustration pulled from an old medieval book. A little woodcut-inspired, with a hint of Smaug curled up over his treasure.

The biggest challenge was getting that dragon to settle naturally into the space—wrapping around the elbow and into the ditch while working with the tattoos already there. Every curve had to belong, even in a spot that gave us very little room to negotiate.

There’s still more planned to bring these pieces together, but seeing this dragon find his place has been so satisfying.

From that first spark to feathers catching fire… we’re getting so close. šŸ”„

Every feather on this Phoenix now has its color, and I love seeing how this palette has come together. Those purples and blues against the oranges, reds, and fiery yellows give the fire so much life, with that sweeping tail carrying the movement up the arm.

There’s something especially satisfying about seeing the healed color alongside the fresh work. Each session gives us a clearer picture of how everything is settling and where to take it next.

We’ve poured so much time and care into this piece, and now we’re approaching those finishing touches. Next comes building the contrast and refining the edges to bring even more of that smolder into the burning feathers.

A little more fire still to come. šŸ¦ā€šŸ”„

We left a little window open for this one. 🌿

When my client first asked me to tattoo her favorite spot on the Rogue River, I wasn’t yet confident I could give that scenery the care it deserved. So we started with the florals, leaving a little picture window for the river to come later.

That space stayed open while I grew as an artist. Coming back to it now, with more experience and the confidence to bring her original idea to life, felt incredibly rewarding. She trusted me enough to wait, and I’m so proud of what we created together.

There’s a peace to our little corner of Southern Oregon that’s hard to put into words. Home looks different to everyone. For her, it’s this stretch of river—and getting to capture that feeling for her means so much. šŸ’š

One of my favorite parts of tattooing is getting introduced to the worlds my clients love. šŸ’œ

We’re adding to this client’s Lost Records: Bloom & Rage collection with the violet flower found on the back of Swann’s arm, and I absolutely love this design.

Working with this client is a dream. They bring me ideas from a world I’m still getting to know, and I get to learn what makes it special to them while bringing a little piece of it to life on their skin.
