Progress baby 😎😎 words can’t describe how proud I feel about this piece. The first session I left it feeling dissatisfied with the shading and confused about how to use grey washes in a way that wouldn’t be patchy and scratchy. Fast forward to today when I had Makenzie Taylor not only hands on fixing things and showing me but then standing behind me watching me and telling me how to do what she just did. My confidence in Neo trad has grown so much and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to express how truly grateful I am to have her in my life not only as a friend but as a wise and seasoned mentor. Not to mention she has to be one of the most bad ass tattoo artists I’ve met.

This one was so much fun to do πŸŽƒβœ¨ I keep trying to slowly dip my toes into Neo traditional, cottage core and it just brings me so much joy every time. Plus I learned a few tricks about smooth color and shading from some rad gals and it made this turn out so crisp!!
