I am a personal trainer, fitness instructor, spinning/TRX certified and currently the Outreach Fitness Cordinator at Access Fitness. I was the fitness director at the Indian Family Health Clinic in Great Falls, MT for 1year. A personal trainer/cycling/fitness/boxing/silver sneakers instructor at the Peak for 6 1/2 years, andMalmstrom AFB. I have worked in Florida, Texas, Montana, and Las Vegas NV. I have been in the fitness industry since '03. My passion started in 2000, when walking up the stairs to the 3rd floor became an issue. I was a smoker, fast food dependent, party animal and 100lbs overweight!!! Crazy but true. I lost 100lbs on my own. Taught myself the proper way to eat after yo-yo dieting. I believe weights are a girl's best friend. I enjoy learning about anything that will make me live longer. I love my job and I am thankful to God for every person I get to meet and train. I have taught Bootcamps, Senior Yoga, Senior Circuit, Kids Circuit, Weight Lifting for Seniors, PACE, Spinning, and boxing classes. My very favorite is Personal Training because you get to meet each individual and can really help them achieve what they want. I love meeting people learning about their issues and difficulties when it comes to being able to lose weight. Shoot me an e-mail if you have any questions or concerns.

Six years ago is when cycling became a 5 am Wednesday class at the Main if you forgot.

It use to be a TRX class and when COVID happened we tried making it a kickboxing 🦵🏾 class but it just wasn't as popular with no equipment.

I decided to make it into a cycling class and it took off!

The Peak has always had a 6 am but for a long time they didn't think that 5 am cycling would work.

May of 2025 is when I decided I needed to teach less classes because of my knee and personal issues.

Kolton took over that class in the summer 🌞 of 2025.

If you were in that class this morning that is how that class got started.

According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease, which includes heart disease and stroke, is the leading cause of death in women, claiming more than 400,000 lives in the U.S. each year

- more than breast cancer, lung cancer and chronic lung disease combined.

Yet only about 4 in 10 (41%) women recognize it as their greatest health threat.

A 2026 American Heart Association scientific statement that forecasted women’s health and risk factors concluded that if trends continue through 2050, the proportion of U.S. women ages 20 and older living with high blood pressure will increase from approximately 49% in 2020 to 59% in 2050.

Update:

"Pain is Temporary, Regret is Forever!"

I am feeling really good 😊👍🏾
I started working last week a little and I added a couple of hours this week. My energy level is getting back to normal. I actually woke up refreshed and ready to go twice this week at 4ish am!!

This was not happening the first two weeks after surgery. I was very exhausted 🫩 as if I had been going for hours. Working exhausted 🫩 not just My brain 🧠 but my body really fast. I felt so out of shape.

My pain is minimal now, even though my swelling has gone down tremendously I still have a lot more to go.

I was walking a lot but was told or "scolded", by my PT 🤪

He said I was not allowed to walk long distances like I was walking. That I needed to walk less and a lot more times... That if I kept walking long distances I could have a setback.

I have really slowed down my walking, and it is mentally tough for me because I really want to do more but I am not sure what is too much....

I live my life as that quote I started my update. When you live a life where you push past pain it is very hard to know when to stop 🛑 🫷🏾

I also know from past surgeries my body creates a lot of scar tissue and I have already been dealing with that. Certain moves, if I don't do them every day my quadricep will scream at me during my walk or PT at the beginning because of scar tissue. I hope I am allowed to move more, before my scar tissue gets out of control as it always seems to do with surgery.

I wish I could say this is almost over..
As soon as I am healed 😊 enough to go back to working out, my next knee surgery will be due and we will be back at the beginning.

I hope since I know what to expect and the surgeries are close to each other that my second knee will heal faster.

It took me 32 minutes to get a mile 😆 but I did it!!

Today, I took a little walk outside before the rain 🌧️☔ and snow.

Not a long walk but I was able to stick to my cane and not use my walker.

Huge accomplishment for me!

I came back into the house, and did my PT exercises, some are painful and I dread 🫣😖 doing them.

The wind felt good on my face 😊 it was a good start to my weekend.

I hope you all get a workout and enjoy the weekend 🤩
