🌙 Introducing Mercado Bajo la Luna

Español en el comentario fijado

Greeley, Moon Market is coming your way.

We’re really excited for this one 🙏🏽 Marie from NoCo Moon Market came to meet and visit with us at our community swap earlier this year. We hit it off talking about how amazing Greeley is, and all of the beauty already happening here. Many folks are on a homesteading kick, and that’s great - but what about folks who already grow their own food? Already heal a stomach ache with mint tea? There are families who have been walking with these traditions for generations and many of them are right here in our community. Read Marie’s reflections below and find info about the upcoming mercado + vendor app!

“The more time I’ve spent in Greeley, the more I’ve dreamed about what Moon Market could look like in this city, a place with an abundance of cultures, art, creativity, knowledge, and grassroots movements being led by the incredible people who call it home.

And now, I’m excited to start bringing that vision to life in collaboration with a group of women deeply embedded in this community:

🌿 MiraSoul: a Greeley-rooted collective dedicated to holistic wellness, ancestral healing traditions, and creating spaces for community connection. Their work carries forward generations of family and community care

🎨 Brenda .vrgas the artist behind this poster and engaging in work with

🍓Andrea, owner of Vale (where you’ll find the most delicious juices and açaí bowls) with a passion for bringing wellness to her bilingual community in this city

Mercado Bajo la Luna is a celebration of the people, cultures, creativity, and existing abundance that make Greeley what it is.

We’re intentionally centering the Latino communities, traditions, and contributions that are such an important part of this city’s identity, while welcoming everyone who wants to participate, connect, and contribute.

More details soon. We’ll see you bajo la luna 🌙”

What a beautiful weekend 🌈 We got soaked and rained out at Bear Bash and it was epic! Challenges are a given, but it’s how you approach / view them that make the rainbow worth it! It is always great being in community and connecting with UNC students. Thanks to all the organizers Downtown Greeley.

If you haven’t seen the WeldWalls Mural Festival murals on 16th St., go check them out!

Let’s keep these types of events going to connect students and the larger Greeley community
