Day 7: Evening Sleep Routine — Returning to Rest
Sleep isn’t something you have to earn — it’s something your body already knows how to do.
Tonight, we’re remembering that truth together.
This gentle rhythm helps your body regulate hormones, calm inflammation, and return to its natural state of rest.
🌿 Evening — Begin the Wind‑Down
Dim lights 1–2 hours before bed to cue melatonin release.
Brew your chosen herbal tea — chamomile, passionflower, lavender, or valerian.
Avoid sleep‑stealing foods: caffeine, alcohol, heavy or spicy meals, sugar, and tyramine‑rich foods like aged cheese or cured meats.
Reduce fluids in the last hour before bed to minimize nighttime waking.
🌌 Night — Return to Rest
Keep your bedroom cool, dark, and quiet.
Try a short relaxation ritual — gentle breathing, journaling, or gratitude reflection.
Remind yourself:
Sleep is natural. My body remembers how.
💬 Reflection Challenge:
Which part of this evening rhythm feels most doable for you tonight?
Start there — small, consistent steps rebuild the body’s natural rhythm.
